Heat indices to 115°F as severe storms and a powerful cold front reshape the forecast

While dangerous summer heat remains locked across the South and begins rebuilding in the Southwest, a pair of cold fronts will bring cooler Canadian air, strong thunderstorms and another round of heavy rain to the northern half of the country.
