00:00Record heat is roasting the western United States.
00:03But a major weather shift is about to begin.
00:06Three storms are moving in to end the heat.
00:08First, the southwest could still see temperatures 15 to 25 degrees above normal.
00:14But the first storm arrives in the four corners.
00:17It could bring thunderstorms and gusty winds.
00:20Some storms may even produce dry lightning.
00:22That means a possible wildfire risk.
00:25Then on Tuesday, the focus moves north.
00:28Rain and mountain snow spread into California and Nevada.
00:32Parts of Oregon and Idaho will also see showers.
00:35Late Tuesday night, a stronger Pacific storm arrives.
00:38It brings steady rain and coastal winds up to 35 miles per hour.
00:43Snow will also hit the Cascade Mountain Passes.
00:46And the biggest change will be the temperatures.
00:49Las Vegas, recently in the 90s, could cool down into the 70s and 80s.
00:54Cool air may last through Thursday.
