04:11panjab elections along with the inclusion of manpreet singh badal as the national vice president
04:16the it cell also has a new chief former chemistry professor and data and election specialist
04:23deepak mahashke he's been roped in from chhattisgarh now his work had been appreciated tremendously during
04:29the chhattisgarh election campaign of the bhartiya janta party he is known within the bjp as the data man
04:36works on electoral data number crunching accumulation analysis and also the beneficiary scheme so all the
04:44data and also equally important information dissemination uttar pradesh again is a key result
04:50area smriti irani now bharat's favorite bahu a fiery fighter no holds barred fighter popular in all age
04:58groups big presence on social media she's expected to play a much bigger role in uttar pradesh and in
05:05panjab she's made a comeback professor tarik mansoor professor mansoor is former vice chancellor of the
05:10aligarh muslim university he's one of the 13 vice presidents of the bjp from uttar pradesh we'll do a
05:16detailed analysis of the strengths of the weaknesses of the opportunities and the threats media communication
05:22very important reaching out to gen z a key result area we'll do a short analysis of the nabeen team
05:29also we'll raise that question is this just a very crucial step one is a cabinet reshuffle next on the
05:36cards but first our political bureau brings you our top story
05:46sangatan shakti powers the bjp a new captain but no radical reset
05:54bjp president nitin nabeen has unveiled his first national team a mix of seasonal organizational
06:00hands senior leaders and younger faces the message experience yuva and mahila shakti
06:06expansion and continuity the new lineup has 13 national vice presidents eight general secretaries
06:13and 16 national secretaries along with other key office bearers vice presidents include vasundra
06:20raje ram madhav bejant panda dhe purandeshwari rekha varma bharti bavar and manpreet singh badhi
06:27general secretaries include vinod tavade sunil bansal biplav kumar dev smithi irani satish punya
06:33gajendra patel harish divedi and sanjay bhatia at the core bl santosh continues as national general
06:39secretary of the organization with shiv prakash and saudan singh as the joint general secretaries
06:44piush goel has returned as national treasurer while tarun chug has taken charge as central officer in
06:50charge the team also carries a strong regional and social imprint pole bound uta pradesh has got eight
06:57key national roles cutting across kurmi yadav maurya kushwaha brahman dalit and muslim representation
07:03that too right before the state goes to elections next year leaders from nagaland assam andhra pradesh
07:09and tamil nadu have also found a space in the national structure the generational mix is equally
07:14significant six members are under the age of 40 15 are between 40 and 49 and 21 between 50 and
07:2159
07:22nitin nabin says this team will take the bjp's vixit bharat mission forward prime minister narendra
07:28modi has also welcomed the team calling it a blend of experience and energy and has expressed confidence
07:33that it will strengthen the party and focus on public service bjp leaders meanwhile have extended a warm
07:39welcome welcome to the new team my to both excited on bjp national team kasuchi jub publish hua to
07:46bhot a chalak ham toh hamaysha apne aapko ham kismat wala insana mantek ya modi ji ka saath
07:53may kam karni ka moka mil raha for nitin nabin this is his first major organizational test and the first
07:59signal is clear not a reset but consolidation a new president at the helm familiar organizational
08:05strength underneath with an eye on the bjp's next electoral battles sanghat and shakti remains the
08:11bjp's political engine with maria shakil piyush mishra and ashwarya palewal your report india today
08:20so let's decode nitin nabin's new team there's talk of continuity and change so he's retained the bjp's
08:28core organizational architecture and yet there are fresh faces who've been brought in so there's a fresh
08:34layer that's being added to the leadership for example like we just mentioned bl santosh he
08:39continues as the national general secretary of the organization anil baluni continues as the media
08:45convener and this signals continuity in the core organization piyush goyal he returns as the national
08:51treasurer that's a very important signal that's being sent out familiar faces like amit malvia
08:57dushan gotham tejas vi surya they are out of this setup then there's conversation around experience
09:05and youth so ahead of 2027 elections and then preparing the party for 2029 the new team brings
09:13together both seasoned leaders and young faces six office bearers are under 40 15 are between 40 and 49
09:21and 21 are between 50 and 59 the message is a gradual generational transition and not a wholesale
09:30replacement of the old guard experience required with training the youth to move forward the electoral
09:37calculus becomes very crucial ahead of 2027 elections uttar pradesh one of the key states not just for the
09:45elections next year but a stepping stone for 2029 loksa by elections uttar pradesh gets eight key
09:52national roles there's representation of the kurmi community the yadav the maurya the kushwaha the
09:59brahmins are also being uh brought back dalit and muslim community also finds representation with
10:05professor tarik mansoor former vice chancellor of the aligarh muslim university because up heads to
10:10polls next year so there's social engineering there's regional balance and the 80 seats of up
10:16getting a bulk of these 80 seats will play a very pivotal role ahead of 2029 the inclusion of leaders
10:24from other election bound strategically important states also point to a wider electoral focus
10:29inclusion of for example sandeep patak of the armadmi formerly of the armadmi party a key strategist of
10:36the armadmi party he is now a national secretary of the bjp very important ahead of punjab elections
10:43his induction ahead of punjab assembly elections and the inclusion of manpreet singh badal as national
10:48vice president adds a significant layer to the bjp in bjp's national team ahead of punjab elections
10:55nari shakti has been one of the key focus areas as far as the bjp is concerned and women have
11:02made a
11:02strong presence felt in the new team six of the 13 national vice presidents are women including
11:07vasundra rajas india d purandeshwari rekha varma varsha bendoshi bharati pavar and madhu chandra kar
11:16the wider representation of women signals a clear push for greater nari shakti within the bjp's
11:23organizational structure we've spoken of smithi rani uh very popular amongst various age groups not just
11:31one age group or one uh gender but very crucial in bengal elections uh her campaign up and punjab
11:39likely to play a much bigger role and this is where we talk about the crucial comebacks smithi rani
11:44return comes as national general secretary and ram madhav's appointment as national vice president
11:49both bring very significant political and organizational experience making their inclusion
11:55amongst the biggest talking points in the new team and there are many more that we shall continue
12:01to talk about uh with our team of experts but there's breaking news that's just coming in bjp's
12:09new team is to hold their first introduction meeting bjp's new team is to hold their first introduction
12:17meeting on the 22nd of august all the newly appointed national office bearers will hold
12:26their first introductory meeting in the national capital on the 22nd of august now this meeting will
12:32bring together the newly appointed office bearers of the national team they will be introduced to the
12:39party to the cadre uh and uh uh to up to a wider uh audience uh so that their faces
12:46become uh familiar
12:48for those who are seeing them for the first time i want to quickly bring in my colleague
12:51aishwarya paliwal for more on this aishwarya this is just the crucial first step being taken but tell
12:58us more about this meeting that's planned for the 22nd of august well you know what needs to be done
13:04next gaurav that's the big question in front of the bharthi janata party now this was a team
13:09that everyone was actually waiting for the team has been announced and they have their tasks cut
13:13out for them we are seeing how uh you know we cannot say that it's a very very new team
13:17as you
13:18were also pointing out we are seeing that this is a mix of a team which has experience and a
13:22team
13:23which will make sure that you know uh the bharthi janata party can actually spread out its wings so
13:28that is something that we will see taking place in this uh from the word go on the 22nd of
13:33august
13:33what we will actually see is the bjp making sure that everyone knows what they have to do and
13:39everyone will be ready the blueprints will be made out because the next two crucial elections are the
13:45state of punjab and the state of udhupadesh and you will see decisive decisions coming out from this
13:50very first meeting okay okay uh aishwarya for the moment many thanks i want to bring in our team of
13:57experts who are decoding this new team shekhar ayar is a senior journalist he's covered uh the bjp for
14:03decades as has rt jairat senior journalist uh an analyst rajat sethi and ashutosh author and
14:09political analyst join us uh on the show welcome but i first want to quickly cut across and bring
14:14into this conversation my colleague himanshu mishra who's getting us the insight track of the bjp's new
14:21team himanshu this is anubhav bhi hai nari shakti bhi hai yuva bhi hai yuva bhi hai yuva bhi hai
14:29yu kis
14:51gunshash agar kis manh sa chifth hai abh unko upaddeish banaaya giyo kuch samaye ke liye sangh
14:55mein waapis gai thai fir sae vapis hai lekir unke saath-saath agar aap dhekhenge to is
14:59puri team me smriti rani ees a cha hai joh samay samaye pe pe party ke liye ake unho
15:06It has been a long time.
15:07There are many people who've been by the government.
15:14But one thing that you have to be having to focus on the government, which have been adjusted
15:20for the governments of the government, which have been addressed in the government, which
15:23have been adjusted for the government.
15:24The government has been dropped from the government in 2016, which has been released by the
15:35The 33% election has never been completed in the office of the British party in the office of the
15:44British party.
15:46The 33% election has never been completed in 2006, but the 33% election has never been completed.
16:01Winot Tawdeh has a long experience in this team.
16:04He has a long experience in Bihar, Sangatmak and Uttar Pradesh.
16:11If you look at that, Winot Tawdeh has a long experience in this team.
16:15He has a long experience in Odisha.
16:18He has won the party in Odisha.
16:20He has a long experience in the city of Bengal.
16:27He has been a big role in Sunil Bansal.
16:31So, he has a great experience in that.
16:33So, he has been a strong leader in Bihar, and he has been a strong leader in Bihar.
16:48It's a party.
16:50It's a party.
16:51It's a party.
16:52One second.
16:53Gaurav, Gaurav, Tariq Mansour was the last time.
16:56He was also a Rastriopadic.
16:58He dropped from Kerala.
17:03If you look at this new experiment, 5 more.
17:085 more.
17:095 more.
17:11No one has put in the back.
17:15One thing is that Delhi is a very big state.
17:18Stay with me.
17:19We will be doing this.
17:21Shekhar Iyer, let me also bring you in.
17:23As Himanshu was mentioning, is the return of Smriti Rani in the new team
17:27a major signal ahead of both UP and Punjab election after her fiery campaign in Bengal?
17:33Well, I think the most significant change that we are seeing in the new team
17:38is the return of Smriti Rani officially in the capacity of a general secretary.
17:42Well, she has been associated with the campaign as Himanshu was saying.
17:46But the fact that she is now being given a charge of the general secretary
17:49and most likely will play a big role in Uttar Pradesh as well as in Uttarakhand and Punjab too.
17:55So, she has been a star campaigner always.
17:58But post her defeat in Amity in 2024, she has herself felt rather little sidelined and not being fully utilized.
18:07That has been addressed because she went back to serials and then she has been doing a lot of non
18:13-political interviews on the social media.
18:15But the fact remains that she has a huge traction.
18:19She has a huge traction on the social media as well as during campaign.
18:23And so, the decision to formally give her a charge as a general secretary is a kind of I would
18:29call it a course correction.
18:30At the same time, utilize her services fully in view of the challenges ahead.
18:34And as far as Ram Madhav, Ram Madhav was involved in, you know, ever since the collapse of the PDP,
18:41BJP alliance in Jammu Kashmir.
18:42In Jammu Kashmir, yes.
18:43And then he did take charge of some states.
18:45But this is also a significant change that Ram Madhav as a vice president will be engaged in more in
18:52interaction with youth and intellectuals
18:54because he has been associated with the BJP's intellectual cell also.
18:57So, he will fulfill the requirement that BJP sees now in the phase of the latest political challenges.
19:04Interesting.
19:05So, let's take this step by step.
19:07Ashutosh, your reading of this new team.
19:11See, I think the biggest story of the day is removal of Amit Malwia.
19:17Okay.
19:18That is an admission of the fact that the BJP has failed to connect with the Gen.G.
19:23And it has failed to expand its footprints to Instagram and to create a narrative.
19:33This is a double failure of Amit Malwia because in the last one year and so, if you see,
19:39the Congress has been dominating the social media platform, creating narratives after narratives.
19:44The Prime Minister's reach has been going down.
19:47And secondly, the big failure in the Instagram that the party whose social media team has a grand success
19:54and created some waves in Indian social media platforms finally could not gauge the mood of youngsters,
20:02could not gauge the reach of Instagram and miserably failed.
20:06And the Prime Minister has to intervene.
20:07The Prime Minister has to come and make reels for that.
20:10That's the biggest failure.
20:11And I think Amit Malwia also started believing that he's bigger than the party, he's bigger than things.
20:16And the kind of arrogance he was showing, I think that finally it has done great disservice to him.
20:23Rajat, is that also your reading?
20:25Before I bring in Aarti Jairat, is that also your reading?
20:28Because Amit Malwia was also co-in-charge of Bengal where the party did extremely well.
20:34But overall, your reading, Rajat?
20:38I think anybody who is working in an organization, there are many, many variety of roles in which you have
20:45to groom future leaders.
20:46He has been at the helm of affairs for 10 years.
20:49That's a really long time.
20:51So I don't see this, I mean, this transition had to happen at one day.
20:56Just trying to say, I mean, not that his term was curtailed at any point.
21:00So I don't think, and I don't agree with Ashutosh Ji, it was a natural culmination where the baton had
21:05to be passed to newer hands to bring in newer ideas.
21:08That's always the case with any organization.
21:11I mean, you keep on reshuffling.
21:13Maybe he'll be given some charge of some state where he'll continue to, you know, groom himself in other political
21:19roles.
21:19And that's how the life of Karakarta is.
21:22You keep on working and working.
21:23The only end that you have in mind is to actually grow the organization.
21:27There is no larger sort of, this is not some sort of a means to a larger end that way.
21:32So I, whatever he has done for a decade, a lot of party people, ever since he posted a goodbye
21:38message,
21:38a lot of people are coming out and saying what he has built out has been a formidable force,
21:43which has kept Congress out of power for past several years now.
21:47A part of the role goes to him and credit goes to him as well.
21:52So, Hemanshu, Amit Malwia,
21:57because Ashutosh has said that he couldn't connect with Gen Z,
22:01he couldn't increase in Instagram, BJP,
22:03he couldn't set the narrative here,
22:05so he had to create real real.
22:07So Amit Malwia's place,
22:09he has got a new man from the 36th street,
22:12which is a data cruncher,
22:15which is the numbers man's place,
22:18which is the numbers man's place,
22:19which is what's inside the party seeing?
22:25You are still on mute.
22:30Look, you have to see two things, Gaurav, you have to see.
22:33One, Amit Balwe, the IT cell was only the conveyor.
22:39There was no co-convener.
22:40Second, if you look at it, this is a different way.
22:44Deepak Mursk is from the 36th grade, we are doing data analysis.
22:47In the 36th grade, they had a different presentation.
22:54We all have to remember that Deepak Mursk is from Nitin Naveen.
22:59Nitin Naveen was from the 23rd grade in Vidhan Saba.
23:04He was from the three new people.
23:10There is also Priti Gandhi, Alok Bhat, Uttarakhan.
23:15As the news writer, he had referred to the background in a social media.
23:23He had posted his post on social media and transferred him out of the way.
23:26He had taken a message to the public.
23:28So, that's one way, in social media, a population that wanted to be a narrative set.
23:33But Amit Maliwe is a long experience. In 2014, he came to an IT cell in a co-convener with
23:41Arvind Gupta.
23:43After that, he lived in a long period of 10 years in a co-convener.
23:49What will happen to them? Because one thing we will not see is that Amit Maliwe is in Pashim, Bengali.
23:57In this game, Sanatana, Sanatana, Sanatana are still playing.
24:02Will they get a new field or a new role that the party has decided?
24:08It is not that Amit Maliwe is in a series.
24:11In this new team, he did not get a place in this new team.
24:14But if there will be a new place, there will be a new place.
24:18Let me bring in Aarti Jairat into this conversation.
24:22Aarti, not a generational shift but what stands out for you in this team?
24:28The main standout points have already been discussed with Chekhar Ayer and Ashutosh and so on.
24:35So, let me touch on something else because there is no point in repeating what they said.
24:39You know, let me touch on Piyush Goyal as the treasurer.
24:45Now, Piyush Goyal is the son of Vetrakash Goyal, who was treasurer of the BJP for many long years.
24:53And when his father, you know, sort of grew elderly, he took over as treasurer in the BJP.
24:59But then he was moved out because he was, you know, because of this one man, one post.
25:04And he was union minister, so he was moved out.
25:07Now, the fact that he's back in the organization and keeping in mind the BJP's rule of one man, one
25:14post, is this a signal that a cabinet reshuffle is on the cards?
25:20And I think that, you know, these are all steps.
25:24The first step was to get a new team for Nitin Naban to send some signals.
25:29But the biggest signal will come from what the PM does with his cabinet.
25:34Who does he induct?
25:35Who does he drop?
25:36You know, you know, given the kind of challenges that the government is facing now, you know, not just from
25:42Gen Z, but the economy, but and, you know, the world situation, the relationship with the U.S.
25:49What kind of changes, what shape will his new cabinet take?
25:56You know, that's a very interesting point.
25:58And I was to come to, you know, the treasurer in just a moment.
26:02But Himanshu, this way, Piyush Goyal has become a Koshadhyaksh party.
26:08So, what does the cabinet reshuffle now believe it?
26:12And one person, what can happen in two places in the cabinet, in the party?
26:16And if not, then what is it?
26:18Look, there are two things that R.T. Ji has also pointed out.
26:24One thing you can see, yes, the cabinet reshuffle because the new team has become a new team.
26:29And it always happens that when the new team becomes a new team, the cabinet reshuffle.
26:32But one thing you can see, Piyush Goyal, in 2010, when the team became a new team, the treasurer came.
26:39And in 2016, when Samit Shah became a new team in 2014 and 2016, he also worked with Rajna Singh.
26:46And the government started working with him.
26:49Mr. Rajna Singh.
27:12And for a very long time, he led the country back to India.
27:16and the president of the president of the president,
27:18all the things that Piyush Goyal also
27:21is working on a business.
27:24There is no doubt.
27:26Piyush Goyal, when a party has a matter of finance,
27:28then Piyush Goyal is the most looking forward.
27:32So, this is the case that the party thinks that
27:34Piyush Goyal is a cabinet reshuffle,
27:39and what happens in that matter,
27:41but there is an example that Piyush Goyal is a president,
27:43and he is a president.
27:45And very crucial because both Uttar Pradesh and Punjab elections in 2027
27:50remain very interesting.
27:52Ashutosh, when we talk of Punjab,
27:53your reading of the appointment of Sandeep Pathak,
27:57his importance in the Aam Admi Party,
27:59as a strategist, as a backroom boy, as a planner,
28:03as the number cruncher,
28:04now a part of BJP's national team.
28:07His experience in Aam Admi Party,
28:10what would it do to BJP's strategy
28:12against the Aam Admi Party in Punjab?
28:15See, Gowra, I think as a strategist, we should not read too much about Sandeep Pathak,
28:20but what has been a great asset for Sandeep,
28:24being that he is one person who works very hard,
28:28and who's an extremely, extremely organised man.
28:31He doesn't claim big things.
28:33He doesn't talk big.
28:35He's normally low profile.
28:37And even in Aam Admi Party,
28:39not many people are giving credit for the Punjab victory,
28:41but the fact is in Aam Admi Party,
28:43only one man decides,
28:44only one man makes a strategy,
28:47only one man chooses everything,
28:48and that man is called Arvind Kejriwal.
28:50Nobody else is there to take credit or to strategise.
28:54Others are merely a robot who are just there to execute whatever the software has been put in their brains.
29:01So let's notтАж
29:02So you are saying it's all Arvind Kejriwal's thinking
29:05and Sandeep Pathak has no role.
29:07Aarti Jairath, is that also your understanding?
29:10Gaurab, Sandeep Pathak has executed that plan very well.
29:14He's a great executioner.
29:15He's a great executioner.
29:17I think that will be an asset for the BJP in the long run.
29:20He will be an asset for the BJP in the long run.
29:22Please take it from me.
29:24Okay.
29:24Aarti?
29:26And he's been a data man for the BJP in Punjab.
29:29Yes.
29:29You know, mapping all the constituency.
29:31For the app earlier.
29:32Yes.
29:32The demographics and everything.
29:34But you know, I just want to say one thing.
29:36That to me, what I get, what I'm hearing from Punjab is that the political landscape is changing vastly.
29:45And I mean, you know, apart from the fact that the Congress has got all this infighting
29:50and therefore, whereas it should have been in pole position, but it probably is not.
29:55There is also the rise of this new, you know, kind of extremist forces, you know, under that Amrik Singh
30:03who's in jail.
30:04And I think he's planning to plunge in.
30:08And he seems, and his people seem to be attracting huge crowds among young Punjabis.
30:14Young Sikhs.
30:15Well, there are kin of other assassins, also convicted assassins, their relatives.
30:19That's right.
30:20Also drawing large crowds.
30:21This is a very, this is a very serious challenge in Punjab.
30:26Okay.
30:27And you know, Sandeep Pathak is kind of outdated really, but I don't know.
30:30Maybe he's mapping this new, you know, kind of thing for the BJP.
30:35So, let me take this to both Rajat and Shekhar one by one.
30:38Shekhar Iyer.
30:40At a possible alliance with the Akali Dar.
30:43Okay.
30:43Okay.
30:44But that is whereтАж
30:45No, but how do you then read Manfred Badal's presence?
30:48Shekhar Iyer, should the Aam Admi Party in Punjab be worried about Sandeep Pathak being appointed in the BJP's national
30:54team?
30:56Definitely.
30:57Definitely.
30:57The fact that today Aam Admi Party in Punjab is in a sort ofтАж
31:02I mean, there is a lot of internal problems and as well as the fact that the confidence
31:08in the present chief minister leading the party to victory, you know, is doubtful.
31:13That is one.
31:13At the same time, as it was pointed out by Aarti, the rise of the worries in Punjab, that's
31:19a very, very serious issue.
31:21And that is something that is worrying the Akali's as well.
31:25It is also worrying the Congress party.
31:27And within the Congress party, there is a section which is just about to break.
31:31Particularly, Saranjit Singh Chani.
31:33He isтАж
31:33Chani, yeah.
31:34Chani as well as Randhava.
31:36Randhava had recently met the home minister also.
31:39Yes.
31:39So, there is a lot of thing brewing there.
31:41And also, there isтАж
31:43You know, you mentioned about Manfred Singh Badal coming into the national team.
31:47Because the last few days, I've seen a lot of buzz about the Akali's and BJP coming
31:52together.
31:53Then it was denied by the Haryana chief minister who is also looking after Punjab saying that
31:57BJP is not talking of any alliance.
32:00So, there is a lot of thing that is happening on the ground.
32:02And also, something that isтАж
32:04There are a lot of backroom parallels as well.
32:07But finally, I mean, these parties also realized that at some level, there has to be an understanding
32:12to ensure that the radical forums like Varish the Punjab do not exert too much of influence
32:20on young voters particularly.
32:22And that is extremely worrisome and it should be.
32:26But Rajat, you're reading.
32:28Sandeep Pathak over Raghav Chadha as some argue.
32:32Or is Raghav Chadha another weapon in the armour who could be wielded at an opportune moment?
32:37And when people said that there could be something between the BJP and the Shirovani Akali Dal,
32:42you're reading of Manpreet Badal being appointed national vice president.
32:45Is that a signal even to Shirovani Akali Dal?
32:49So, first of all, I think the re-jig is not complete yet.
32:53There is a cabinet pre-shuffle which is also impending.
32:55So, who will be adjusted where needs to be seen to get the entire picture.
33:01But one thing is sure thatтАж
33:02I mean, Sandeep Pathak, he's new to the BJP.
33:05He's new to the ideology.
33:07Therefore, a lot of understanding of how the BJP works, that is going to take time.
33:12It doesn'tтАж
33:13It's not a switch which, you know, by a flip of a button, it will change.
33:17He'll have to do a lot of grounding exercise.
33:19So, does Raghav Chadha.
33:20For almost, you know, ten odd years, he's been in the public domain speaking against the Prime Minister and against
33:27the BJP.
33:28He also will require some time, some soft landing to understand the ways and means of BJP before he is
33:34thrusted on to greater responsibilities
33:35and he being seen as some kind of a face in Punjab.
33:39Right now, Punjab and the Panthik vote, BJP is trying its own ways of going back to the grassroot.
33:45By the way, let me tell you the amount of efforts that RSS is doing currently was unprecedented with a
33:51new appointment of several functionaries of the RSS and the BJP's organization have brought in a very different strategy this
33:59time.
33:59It might not yield results immediately, but the long haul strategy of the BJP is to go to the Panthik
34:05votes and try and see that can we bring in some value proposition before this.
34:11So, it's a long project, should not be seen as one man coming in and radically changing BJP's strategy.
34:17BJP doesn't work like that. BJP is a slow organization, but very strong with its firm foundations.
34:23No one man can come potentially and dictate that the things should be changed. So, this is my observation on
34:29Patak.
34:30Ashutosh, the entire team when you look at it and I am talking about pre-Cabaret reshuffle, does this indicate
34:38Nitin Nabeen is now establishing an identity of his own or his team
34:44or the bigger picture remains that he is operating within a structure that's largely shaped by the Modi-Shah era
34:52or the Modi-Shah combine?
34:55Nitin Nabeen's biggest achievement will be the strategy which is going to be crafted by the Prime Minister Modi and
35:04Amit Shah.
35:05If we can execute that, that will be a great accomplishment for him to assume, to believe that he is
35:13going to create a new strategy for the BJP,
35:16then I think that one is expecting too much from him.
35:19The Modi and Shah has dominated BJP for the last 13-14 years so much that nothing moves without them.
35:29So, the biggest success of Nitin Nabeen will be the team he has created and obviously this team is created
35:37in consultation with the Prime Minister and Amit Shah both.
35:40Because look at the General Secretaries, the four General Secretaries have been shown the door like Dushant Kumar Gautam, Sanjay
35:49Bandhi, Radha Mohandas Agrawal and Arun Singh.
35:53It's also admission of the failure that these General Secretaries have not been able to deliver the way the party
35:59was expecting. So, for Nitin Nabeen it is not going to be easy.
36:02Because like Arun Singh who have been there for such a long time, you know, do you see that Shekhar
36:08Iyer as being shown the door not being able to perform or bringing in a younger generation or making that
36:16generational transition ahead of 2027 and ultimately 2029?
36:22No, I would not, at least in the case of Arun Singh as being shown the door, rather he could
36:28be reassigned for more organizational work or he could be given other assignments.
36:34That is the case with Amit Malviya also because, yes, in the case of Amit Malviya, his approach which was
36:42again directed from the top was actually a sledgehammer approach to every issue.
36:47And that is why today his departure is being noted by the Congress with a lot of glee. You know,
36:55that's a different question.
36:56But definitely, you know, I would not say whatever changes we are seeing that anybody has been completely dropped.
37:04Rather, they are going to be reassigned because the challenges ahead would require experience of all these people, Arun Singh
37:10included, and also other leaders.
37:12And yes, the big thing, as Aarti pointed out, everybody is looking at the proposed changes in the Union Council
37:18of Ministers.
37:19That will have to be seen. And one more thing, Gaurav, we'll have to see what is a work allocation
37:24for the new team.
37:26Who is actually getting to handle what? And who will be the new faces of the BJP in the media,
37:31particularly the new set of spokespersons?
37:33And I'm sure Smriti Rani will be one of the top spokespersons in no matter what role she'll be playing
37:39or what areas will be under or what states will be under control.
37:43So will be Ram Madhu.
37:45Interesting. And you mentioned Smriti Rani. We're getting a reaction that she's put out on social media.
37:51Former Union Minister Smriti Rani's first statement after being named a part of Nitin Nabeen's team.
37:57She's thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP chief Nitin Nabeen for the opportunity that she's been given.
38:04She writes, and I quote,
38:06The world's largest political party, BJP, has created an ordinary worker like me
38:11and bestow upon me the extraordinary responsibility of National General Secretary to contribute to the organization.
38:21This is a tribute to the Karikarta system, serving the organization and contributing under the guidance of the country's illustrious
38:29Prime Minister,
38:30Shri Narendra Modi ji and the leadership of the esteemed National President Shri Nitin Nabeen ji is for me a
38:36matter of loyalty and dedication.
38:38She writes, and then she goes on to say, the newly formed team of the Resolute BJP committed to realizing
38:45the spirit of nation first
38:48and the singing of glories of Mother India, Vande Mataram is dedicated to serving as the foundation of actualizing the
38:59resolve of Vikasit Bharat.
39:01Heartfelt gratitude and congratulations to Prime Minister for his constant inspiration and companionship.
39:09And to the top leadership including National President as well as the party's elders for the trust they've placed in
39:16me.
39:17Victory to Mother India.
39:19Okay.
39:20Incidentally, in 2025, my colleague Anjana Um Kashyap had spoken exclusively to Smriti Rani about her political future back then.
39:28She had said that the 2024 setback at Amethi wasn't the end of politics as politics is in her veins.
39:38Listen in.
39:39You were also very happy when you were coming on TV and we had such a dramatic background.
39:45So I think there was a question for you, why did you get this money?
39:49What's the reason?
39:49What's the reason?
39:50There would be a very good answer.
39:54My purpose.
39:56We are in that mode, Smriti Rani.
39:58My purpose.
39:59I was always like that.
40:01Look, people don't have a choice in life.
40:03I have a choice in life.
40:06You don't have a desire to live in a human form.
40:11You don't have a desire to live in a human form.
40:12If you live in a human form, you don't have to live in a human form.
40:16But this is not a political retirement.
40:19How is it?
40:20Which retirement is in 1949?
40:21Yeah, in 1949.
40:22In 1949, people don't have to start their career.
40:24I have been living for three times.
40:26I have been living for three times.
40:26I have been living for five years.
40:28I have been living for five years.
40:28Now it's a long time.
40:29But it's a long time.
40:30But it's a long time.
40:31But it's a long time.
40:46And Amethi?
40:46I have been living for five years.
40:47I remember that I have lived for ten years of 10 years.
40:52But people have been living for 10 years of 10 years.
40:55Even when I was a U.P.A.
40:55I was working for 10 years of 10 years old.
40:57I was studying for a 10 years of 10 years of 10 years.
40:59I have still been shooting for 10 years now.
40:59I have also killed the jail.
41:00So people have told me the story of Amethi.
41:02What are you going to do after Amethi?
41:03I have always worked on Amethi when I was a government or a█╢.
41:07And I have fought on Amethi when I was a government.
41:10I mean, they say that they go to death and go to the death of death.
41:14I am so sorry.
41:16You have been running the car in death.
41:18It's nice.
41:19Why?
41:20BJP says you fight with me.
41:22You want to fight with me.
41:24BJP says what?
41:25You don't know me.
41:28BJP says what?
41:28Why do you say something?
41:29I'll say something.
41:32So, it's Smiti Rani.
41:33It has actually always been my mercy.
41:36Let's see what's the role that she gets in the days and months.
41:40Ahead.
41:40We'll be tracking that story very closely.
41:42I want to thank all my guests.
41:43That is all the time that we have for in this special broadcast.
41:47A quick break.
41:48India first and that big debate over several issues including the controversy over Vande Mataram and Mansik Naksal.
41:59That's coming up on the other side of a quick break.
42:02Stay with us.
42:10Stay with us.
42:10Stay with us.
42:11Stay with us.
42:11Stay with us.
