"KINDLY PUT THEIR PHONES IN SILENT MODE"

WATCH: While private prosecutor Atty. Amando Ligutan was questioning hostile witness Gina Acosta on the case of alleged misuse of confidential funds of the Office of the Vice President (OVP), the proceedings were shortly interrupted by the loud alert ringtone of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) from cellphones of the public, during the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte on Monday, Aug. 17.

Impeachment court Presiding Officer Sen. Francis "Chiz" Escudero then reminded the public to keep their phones in silent mode, so as to not interrupt the proceedings. (Video courtesy of Senate of the Philippines)
