00:01For Canberra's bird watching community, bird flu is a growing concern.
00:07Yesterday, a case of the H5 strain was confirmed on the south coast near Eden.

00:19Kim Farley has not come across any sick birds yet, but is monitoring the symptoms.
00:24They can have runny noses, runny nostrils, teary eyes, puffed up feathers looking uncomfortable.
00:33While no cases of bird flu have been recorded in the ACT yet, authorities fear it is only a matter

00:58When the flu arrives, we will be continuing to do that to record the effect and then we'll also be
01:06continuing it afterwards as things calm down.
01:09And if Canberran spot a sick bird...
01:11Don't touch it. Just avoid it. Record where it is. Maybe take a photo and then report that sighting.
