00:00Good evening, peace be upon you, and welcome to a new episode of your show, What's Happening.
00:04Today is Sunday, the 16th, August 26th, 16th, 26th, 16th, 18th, 26th, and the 3rd of Rabia al-Awl.
00:12It seems, based on the information available so far, that devastating earthquakes continue to
00:19strike around the world. We witnessed yesterday, yesterday, the two devastating earthquakes that
00:28struck Indonesia, the first with a magnitude of 7.7 on the Richter scale, and the second with a
00:33magnitude of 6.9 on the Richter scale, and we also witnessed the earthquake in Spain. Now, earthquakes
00:40have returned to Spain, and very strong earthquakes have started hitting the Pacific Ocean again.
00:48Just a short while ago, a very strong earthquake struck with a magnitude of 6.1 on the Richter scale.
00:55It struck the country or island nation of Vanuatu, and this country, and this island is located in
01:02the Pacific Ocean. Naturally, it is one of the islands of the Ring of Fire, just like there are
01:07countries in the Ring of Fire. There are islands in the Ring of Fire, and this is the Ring of
01:11Fire.
01:12We have come to know its countries. We have come to know that the Ring of Fire passes through the
01:18Pacific Ocean, and it's called the Ring of Fire because it is always active with earthquakes and
01:24volcanoes. That means earthquakes and tremors are always happening there. But do you get used to it,
01:31like when it's four degrees, four and a half, or five degrees? Yeah, yeah. It's rare for me. I mean,
01:39every once in a while, there's a six-degree earthquake, and every once in a while, there should have been
01:44a
01:45devastating seven-degree earthquake. But what we saw with the two devastating earthquakes in Indonesia,
01:52and before that, the earthquakes in Colombia, Venezuela, and Mexico, this took us in a different
01:58direction. So the earthquake a little while ago confirms that the seismic storm is continuing with
02:04a magnitude of 6.1. It struck Vanuatu, and for example, Australia is about 1,000 kilometers away
02:11from the center of this earthquake in Vanuatu, but they felt it in eastern Australia, specifically in
02:17the city of Brisbane. Brisbane, even people contacted me from Australia and said they felt this very strong
02:24earthquake. This comes at a time when dozens and hundreds of aftershocks continue to hit Indonesia.
02:33Whether they are hitting Flores Island in southern Indonesia, where a devastating earthquake occurred,
02:39the 7.7 magnitude earthquake, or they are hitting Sumatra Island, where the second devastating earthquake
02:45happened, with a magnitude of 6.9 and 7 on the Richter scale, and in the midst of this, a
02:52new earthquake
02:53hit Spain about three hours ago. The earthquake had a magnitude of 3.6 on the Richter scale, and
03:00specifically struck the same area that is currently active. I consider it to be in Spain, near the city of
03:08Granada. People in Granada and Malaga clearly felt it, and some even contacted me and told me they felt
03:18it at that time. There were tremors in the city of Al-Hocema in Morocco. Of course, the earthquake struck
03:25at almost a quarter to the previous hour. In the morning, according to local time in Spain, we need to
03:34monitor
03:34this area in Spain. We hope it's just an aftershock in Spain from the earthquake that struck yesterday with a
03:40magnitude of 5.2. If it wasn't an aftershock, then all of the above would be just that. And if
03:46these are four shocks,
03:48we might witness a stronger earthquake hitting Spain in the coming days. Peace be upon everyone. We all feel your
03:55pain.
03:55I'm Ahmad al-Daram, host of the show, Show Shaiyah Bilok.
