00:00Welcome to a new episode of your show, Showsayer.
00:03Today is Wednesday, 69.30, September 26th, 78th, September 30th, 82.20.84, 26.87, and 9.89.90, the
00:1210th of Rabi Altani, 14.48.
00:15We were, and we previously spoke yesterday, we spoke about Hurricane Polo attacking Mexico, which is a Category 2 hurricane
00:24that struck Mexico.
00:26And now, over the past few hours, this hurricane caused extremely heavy rainfall and storm porfines that struck the Mexican
00:38city of Chihuahua, resulting in massive pools of water.
00:45Are you starting to see it right in front of you now?
00:49On the screen is footage of the arrival of this hurricane, as we said, which caused massive accumulations of water
00:56and strong currents in several streets.
01:01Coinciding with the humidity effects linked to Hurricane Polo, Hurricane Polo is out there, and a massive amount of moisture
01:08is in the air due to high temperatures, and this humidity is definitely coming from the ocean.
01:14Warmer ocean temperatures lead to increased moisture levels in the atmosphere, with another hurricane on the way as well.
01:24All of this contributes to a enormous, massive amount of rainfall accompanying this hurricane.
01:33Moving away from Mexico, let me head over to Mexico's neighbor of sorts, specifically to the United States, and more
01:43specifically to the U.S. state of New Mexico.
01:46By the way, the U.S. state of New Mexico was originally a Mexican state, before the United States took
01:53it over decades ago.
01:55So, and there were problems, I don't want to get into the history, but anyway, it was Mexican, and became
02:02American, which is why they named it New Mexico.
02:05Anyway, the state faced extreme danger, as a state of emergency was declared in it, along with widespread evacuations of
02:17the residents.
02:23In the water behind one of the dams near the city of Farmington in the state of New Mexico, amid
02:31warnings issued by the authorities of the potential dam collapse, meaning there are massive amounts of water now behind the
02:42dam, and the dam could collapse at any moment.
02:45A dam collapse would mean devastating flash floods, which could cause massive flash floods to occur, like this clip you
02:56see on the screen in front of you, which documents the impoundment of water, and the massive accumulation of water
03:02behind the dam, and it could be heading towards a new disaster akin to the disaster of the Daniel floods,
03:10or Storm Daniel.
03:10In any case, we will follow up with you on the developments and progress of events there as they happen.
03:16This is Ahmad al-Dara with you presenting the program Showsaya.
03:19Stay safe.
