00:00It seems like the Cubs have a secure wildcard spot, but it is the Cubs. We saw that two years
00:05ago and the Cubs completely fell out of it. Don't forget that. They were in the number one. They
00:08fell out to number four this week. They had a nice week against Washington and we'll see what
00:13happens on Sunday with them against the St. Louis Cardinals. But I guess the difference between this
00:19Cubs team and some of the others, and they'll get some pitchers back. I know Edward Cabrera is
00:23coming back too, but it seems like the difference is, is they have either the MVP winner or the
00:29runner-up and Pete Crow Armstrong. That's a big difference for them. People are making that
00:34case to say, hey, look, it's a different kind of Cubs team because of that guy. It's kind of fair
00:38to say, I think, a little bit. He's just such an impactful player right now. He is. I would also
00:43say that at least the Cubs went out and tried to address the issues that they had with the starting
00:49pitching. They went out and they went moves to get starting pitchers because that's where they were
00:55extremely deficient. It wasn't necessarily a fault of their own. They were dealing with so,
00:58so many injuries and starting off the season, not even being fully healthy, knowing that Justin
01:03Steele wasn't there. And then you lose pitchers throughout the season and Jameson Tyone wasn't
01:07good and they DFA'd him. At least they went out to make the trades to remedy that. So I would
01:12have
01:12hope in the Cubs actually sustaining this. And frankly, I think that the Cubs are still live
01:16to win the division. I know we'll get there and it's still six weeks to go, but the Brewers have
01:21kind of faltered as of late and they still have, what is it, six games against each other left?
01:26That six games in, what is it, a four game lead at this point in the NL Central? That's not
01:31locked up yet.
