00:00I always say, bring your best self forward every day, regardless of what it is.
00:05You're going to cook french fries? Then be excellent at cooking french fries.
00:08Be willing to listen. Be willing to learn.
00:12Like, always step up and then be willing to do something that maybe potentially it wasn't your job to do.
00:18Pick up that piece of paper, right?
00:20You may not work in housekeeping, but you recognize that there's a piece of paper on the floor and it
00:25shouldn't be there.
00:26It's not really about calling the housekeeping team to do something that you could do.
00:31So I think it's really about understanding that we all work in collaborative relationships and it's about building upon those
00:38relationships.
00:38Build the relationship, build the trust, and treat people with respect.
00:43And I think when you do those things and you're always given 100% of who you are, the bosses
00:48will notice.
00:48So what happens in this industry is that there's always a fire.
00:53There's always something happening.
00:55And ultimately, we start with plan A and we often end on plan D or E, right?
01:01And so not to just get so worked up, right?
01:06Things are going to adjust. Things are going to happen.
01:08And so you just pivot and turn and adjust.
01:10It is the best advice anyone's ever given me is to learn to pivot.
