00:00Suffering is a fact. Everybody is suffering. So, why some people choose the philosophical path, while some people, what you
00:07know, like Kierkegaard says, crowd disperdance actually.
00:10When we talk of two persons being in a similar situation, yet choosing differently, there is a convenient framework to
00:19explain away the difference. One could say they differ in their gender, one could say they are conditioned differently, and
00:26one could say that's where the difference in choices comes from.
00:30So, there can be then no reason why a choice is made. Choice then is not an effect of a
00:39particular cause. Causality cannot explain choice. Choice itself is sovereign, and what is sovereign has nothing behind it.
00:47Now, this is uncomfortable. We might even find it unacceptable. But this is also very empowering. It means that irrespective
00:58of the conditions without or within, you still are sovereign. You can lose everything, but never your power to choose.
01:08That is always available.
