00:00One of my favorite things this season was watching Whitney, who I think just absolutely killed it.
00:04And now she just got announced for her second Broadway show since Dancing with the Stars.
00:08What's your reaction to that news?
00:09It's incredible for Whitney, right?
00:11Like, I mean, this is why she did the show, right?
00:15She came on and, you know, I know several people have said this,
00:18but it's not very often that you find a person who knows what they want, right?
00:25They want, I want to be a star.
00:26No, she wanted exactly what she wanted and she knew what she wanted and she wanted to go to Broadway
00:32and now to be on her second show on Broadway.
00:36The numbers that she created for Chicago was, you know, chart-breaking numbers, right?
00:43She is a star and I am so happy that she is receiving the accolades that she deserves
00:51because she's worked her butt off for it.
00:52I feel like at some point I did say, I can't wait to see you on Broadway.
00:56I usually can sense where people want to go and what they want to do
00:59and I always try to help them get there because Dancing with the Stars is also a stepping stone
01:03for so many people.
01:04They come on our show not only just because of the emotional challenge
01:08and what they've gone through, but I think just the exposure has been really great for so many people.
01:14I love that Dancing with the Stars has become almost like a star-making vehicle for many people,
01:17including our dancers, who are the real stars of our show, right, I think.
01:21You know, it's amazing.
01:22She is so grateful.
01:23I was joking around like when she gets the Tony, we expect the, you know, the thank you,
01:28but she deserved it from the moment I met her about considering her to be on the show.
01:32This was her dream.
01:33This was her passion, but she had bigger dreams than that
01:36and she is so talented and there's not a better person out there for Broadway.
01:40I think she broke records on Broadway after we broke records on our show.
