Chengdu Sichuan Cuisine Museum Experience

Chengdu Sichuan Cuisine Museum Experience
## **This is an edible museum, hiding the secrets of Sichuan cuisine**
* Chengdu Sichuan Cuisine Museum is located in Gucheng Town, Pi County, Chengdu, Sichuan. As an "edible museum", it brings a new museum concept - in addition to using eyes and ears, you can also use your mouth and nose to visit.
* The knife skills, heat and cooking process of Sichuan cuisine are the core content of the intangible culture of Sichuan cuisine. They are dynamic, experiential and artistic, and can only be displayed in the form of demonstration and passed on through lectures.
* The museum should be dynamic. There are five main categories here: national culture and its carriers, monuments and architecture, cultural tourism, tourism shopping, and leisure and entertainment. The scenic area is divided into the collection hall, Sichuan cuisine raw material display area, Kitchen God Temple, Old Sichuan Restaurant Street, Sichuan cuisine raw material processing tool display area, interactive demonstration hall, tea tasting and leisure hall, etc.

00:09I'll try to review this experience as we would have liked to read its description.
00:14The day before the experience, we were contacted by the museum, and a WeChat group was created
00:20to arrange our arrival time.
00:23The overall experience lasts about three hours, but the school is open practically all day,
00:29so you can choose your preferred time, it's not a group activity.
00:34We went early in the morning, around 9am, and met our very kind guide, Lucy.
00:40She first guided us through the museum, introducing us to the aromatic profiles of Sichuan cuisine
00:47and showing us the various chili and soy fermentations.
00:51Then, the actual cooking began with her.
00:53We cooked three dishes, which we then ate along with many other dishes and snacks, prepared
01:00by the staff, a true banquet with unlimited drinks.
01:04Finally, a certificate is provided by the school's head chef.
01:08An exceptional and unique experience that we highly recommend.
01:14Fantastic time here, so many dishes and snacks to try and everything free.
01:19Such a good value.

02:00the the experience of Sichuan cooking culture.
02:03As a foreigner, I had a fairly one-dimensional view of Sichuan cuisine.
02:08My entire view of Sichuan cuisine was fundamentally changed as a result of this tour.
02:15Being able to learn, experience, you can use the traditional preparation technique and see
02:20fermentation processes, cook, and then savor, over 30 dishes, all in one tour is being able
02:27to completely immerse yourself into the rich food history of Sichuan.
02:31If you care anything about food and history, you owe it to yourself to come out to this
02:37museum experience.
02:39My guide, Ms. Yang was really knowledgeable and patient.
02:44The entire experience did not feel rushed and left plenty of time to enjoy the stunning
02:49garden that is also the museum.
02:53Very nice experience, Hidden Gem.
02:55Guided by an experienced Yet Pung guide who is knowledgeable about Sichuan cuisine and able
03:01to explain in depth about the origin and taste.
03:05She is also the instructor for the culinary class with ingredients well prepared and safety
03:11of participants are of paramount importance.
03:14About a 45 minutes dd away from city center.
03:18food, if you arrive early for lunch, is buffet style and a variety of Sichuan cuisine.
03:26The content was both systematic and vivid, covering everything from the selection of ingredients
03:32and mastery of heat control to historical records in ancient texts and stories of famous chefs.
03:39It was utterly captivating to listen to and is well worth a family outing.
