The Crying Boy didn’t just haunt the dark—something followed us from that highway screech straight into fear.
If you’ve ever heard strange crying in an empty restroom, you’ll feel this one in your bones.
I drove a long stretch near San Francisco at night, and after a sudden screeching sound—like something got caught between the wheels—we pulled into a well-lit rest stop around 2:00 a.m. After waking my friend, we heard a child crying, coming from the women’s restroom even though there were no other cars around. We searched every stall, checked every light, and found nobody—yet the crying continued, muffled and terrifying, until a small window was opened… and then shut by itself. The moment the sound stopped and started again, we ran back to the truck, terrified. Later, the screeching returned when we drove again, and at another stop we discovered a red-and-silver metal piece wedged there—only for a mechanic to confirm it was from a child’s bicycle. This horror mystery and paranormal encounter leaves one question hanging: was the Crying Boy trying to lead us to something—or to keep us from finding out?
