00:39Happy Friday to everyone out there.
00:42Real quick, I got to give a shout out to one of our coworkers who be working behind the scenes
00:46in another department by the name of Desiree.
00:48Des.
00:49We all know Des.
00:50Yeah.
00:51She be out here hustling, working hard.
00:53She wanted to weigh in on the segment when we was talking about the oil and all that stuff.
00:59She said she fry her eggs and Crisco.
01:02That's old school.
01:03Dang.
01:04That is old school.
01:05Yeah.
01:06Yeah.
01:06So she just threw that out there.
01:08So appreciate her listening.
01:10My mom used to put Crisco and bacon in the bottom of the pot when she would make beans.
01:14Oh yeah.
01:17And they were some good beans.
01:18If we ever had to wonder why our collective healths were not necessarily where they needed to be.
01:25I feel like we wouldn't have to look too long to find an answer.
01:29Yeah.
01:29Salute to that is for listening.
01:30I'm sure she's probably listening more because we're on that crystal clear.
01:33Yeah.
01:3595.7.
01:37The fan.
01:38That was in unison.
01:39Do people hate when we do that?
01:41I feel like there's someone out there that's like, stop that.
01:43No, I think they love it.
01:44I feel like I ain't do it in a minute.
01:46Maybe I'll try to do it one.
01:48I ain't going to do it with this topic right here as I continue on the mixtape presented by Sheriff
01:52Injury Lawyers.
01:54So I think we might have a new ownership with Arby's.
01:58And not in that way, but something terrible happened to a lady.
02:03And here is Fox 19 in Cincinnati on the story that happened in Oklahoma, I want to say.
02:11Okay, this is just awful.
02:13Listen to this.
02:13The woman is suing after she claims she got herpes from eating a sandwich from Arby's.
02:19The Oklahoma woman says she started developing symptoms in March.
02:23She went to the doctor and tested positive for oral herpes.
02:26She says that she noticed the manager at the Arby's was visibly experiencing an active outbreak at the time.
02:33And she asked to see surveillance footage.
02:36The lawsuit claims that workers tried hiding it from her, even bribed her with free food to drop it.
02:42But she didn't.
02:43She got the police involved.
02:45They were able to get that footage.
02:47And the lawsuit says it shows the manager spitting into the woman's food.
02:51The manager is now being charged with felony poisoning with intent to injure.
02:56Meanwhile, the victim is suing Arby's for allowing the woman to work near the food while having an active outbreak.
03:02If this was me, I would be the new owner of Arby's.
03:06I'm suing the pants off of everybody in this joint.
03:10Yes.
03:11What a useless, an incredibly useless attempt to bury this.
03:16Yes.
03:17We'll give you free food.
03:18That's how we got here, you joker.
03:20What are you talking about?
03:21We'll give you free food.
03:22Actually, through most of that story, I wasn't buying it until it, you know, oh, the guy was spitting it.
03:27Oh, okay.
03:28All right.
03:28And sitting over the food.
03:29Yeah.
03:30How did.
03:31All right.
03:32You know.
03:33But if you haven't listened to the program before, I have a personal philosophy of I try not to ask
03:38questions that I don't want answers to.
03:40Right.
03:40I think that that is a healthy way to handle things.
03:43Yeah.
03:43And so I will break my rule for this second.
03:45Is there is I never think of any of like the Arby's foods as capable of transferring.
03:52Right.
03:53Right.
03:54Herpes.
03:54Apologies.
03:55There was not a good way for me to not say that.
03:56I wasn't buying it until he's then then you get saliva involved.
04:00Yeah.
04:00That's right.
04:00That's right.
04:01That's when I went, oh, okay.
04:03Yeah.
04:03I'd be owning that place, too.
04:05Honestly, they should be happy that all she's doing is suing.
04:09Yeah, exactly.
04:10Yeah.
04:10Yes.
04:11No, I will have all of their asses.
04:13That's right.
04:14Like, I'm going to have your ass, buddy.
04:16That's right.
04:16Yeah.
04:17No, I will be the new owner.
04:18I will put my face right there on the Arby's sign.
04:22Figgy's.
04:23Yep.
04:24Yep.
04:24This is.
04:24You want to know what happened?
04:26Yeah.
04:26Check out this news story.
04:28Figgy's horsey sauce.
04:30I might mess around, just buy it and close it down.
04:33You know what?
04:34Like, just for the principal.
04:38It's a mid-state presented by Sheriff Injury Lawyers on In the Loop 95.7, the fan.
04:43And so, a couple days ago, I forgot how we even got to this topic, but you saw about
04:48the mad dad voice, right?
04:50Yeah.
04:50You got your mad dad voice, Lopez.
04:52And I kind of want to hear it again.
04:54So, I'm going to say something.
04:56I want you to be a dad.
04:59Okay.
04:59And just give me yours.
05:00You got a lot of practice with it.
05:01Yeah.
05:01Yeah.
05:01So, all right.
05:02Here we go.
05:04We're not leaving this Goo Goo Dolls concert.
05:07Hold on.
05:08I'll get there eventually.
05:09So, what we're saying is we're not leaving this Goo Goo Dolls concert.
05:13We're not leaving.
05:14We are.
05:15We're leaving.
05:18Okay.
05:19All right.
05:19I can feel it, man.
05:20All right.
05:21So, I think I heard Mark Vandermeer last night.
05:24He had a dad voice?
05:25I don't know.
05:26Vandermeer got dad voice?
05:27I feel like Vandermeer is a really good dad, like a cool dad.
05:32I wonder if he kind of used that dad voice where you kind of did something wrong.
05:37Is Vandy the cool dad?
05:38I'm sorry.
05:39I love me some Mark Vandermeer.
05:41He called his kids Vanderkids.
05:43Okay.
05:44That's fair.
05:45But also, would that be the cool dad or the corny dad?
05:48Again, love me some Mark Vandermeer.
05:49You're like, I'm not trying to be a jerk.
05:51Hey, it might be.
05:52It might be.
05:53So, I just want to, I kind of want to hear Mark Vandermeer's dad voice.
05:57Like, I wonder what he sound like when he get mad.
05:59But before I get to that, I'm going to go through some, I guess, kind of cheesy dads
06:04who got mad like in sitcom history.
06:07Yeah.
06:07So, I'm going to start with one of my favorite dads, Ward Cleaver.
06:11I'm a big fan of Leave it to Beaver.
06:12One of the funniest things that I've learned about you in our couple years working together.
06:16I'm a huge fan of Leave it to Beaver.
06:18But anyway, here's Ward Cleaver.
06:20He was mad at the Beave because he spilled ink all over his desk.
06:26Wally, were you down here at my desk this afternoon?
06:29Oh, heck no, Dad.
06:31You told us to keep away from your desk.
06:32Beaver, were you in here today?
06:35Yesterday, Friday?
06:36Yesterday is Friday.
06:38I guess I sort of was.
06:39Did you get in my desk?
06:41I didn't get all the way in.
06:43Just what were you doing in here?
06:45Well, you see, Dad, my ink pen was dry, so I filled it.
06:48I don't use that much.
06:49I didn't think you'd miss it.
06:51Beaver, you left the top off the ink bottle.
06:53It spilled all over my desk and over my reports.
06:56I've told you, boy, it's time and again to keep away from my desk.
06:59Now, Beaver, this is the second time you've spilled ink in the study.
07:02You're going to have to be punished.
07:04I want you to stay around the house all day and not leave the premises.
07:07Now, go on upstairs.
07:08No, but you watch your step, too.
07:12What's going on in here?
07:13Dad just blew his top with the beaver.
07:16Yeah, so that was his neck.
07:18And a lot of people feel like he was a...
07:20Dad did what?
07:21Grow up!
07:22No, Dad did what?
07:23Grow up!
07:23Blew his top with the beef.
07:24Okay.
07:26Gosh.
07:27There's no way that the writer's room would not do that.
07:30They did that intentionally.
07:31Come on.
07:31They did that incredibly intentionally.
07:32Yeah.
07:33Yeah, so a lot of people always look to him as a soft dad, too.
07:37No, that was good.
07:37That was good.
07:38Yeah, that was a good dad voice.
07:39Now, let's go to another one real quick, man.
07:41Full House, we all know Danny Tanner.
07:43Mm-hmm.
07:44And I ain't going to lie, I had a hard time trying to find an angry Danny Tanner moment.
07:48So this is the only one I found.
07:50I'm not the biggest fan of Full House, so I don't know all the situations, but this is
07:56the one I found Danny Tanner when he was mad at DJ.
07:59He found something.
08:00He went looking through her sock drawer, found something.
08:03Okay.
08:04And this is how it happened.
08:06You mean he just popped into my sock drawer and went through my personal property?
08:10How would you do that?
08:11It means it was an accident.
08:12I was putting away your laundry.
08:13What was I supposed to do?
08:14You wouldn't even talk to me.
08:15Maybe it was none of your business.
08:17What's next?
08:18Are you going to bug my phone?
08:20Hey, I don't like that tone, young lady.
08:22Well, I don't like you leaving my privacy.
08:24I'm your father.
08:25I'll invade Normandy.
08:26There you go.
08:26Oh, that's better.
08:27Yeah, that's better.
08:28Just stay out of my sock drawer and stay out of my life.
08:30Ooh.
08:31Get back here right now, DJ.
08:32Yeah.
08:33I can't wait to get out of this house.
08:35Hold it right there.
08:35I'm not through talking to you yet.
08:36I'm through listening.
08:39Slam the door.
08:40You don't even knock.
08:41You have no respect for my personal space.
08:44Don't you dare tell me about respect.
08:46You're yelling at me and slamming doors.
08:48What happened to my sweet little girl?
08:49Don't you get it?
08:51I am not your little girl anymore.
08:54Oh.
08:54Yeah, that kind of breaks the heart.
08:55Yeah.
08:56How do you feel about that dad voice?
08:58That might be the angriest he's been on this show.
09:00Good dad voice, but in my house, it would never have even gotten that far.
09:03And honestly-
09:04It would have been as soon as I would have been like, what?
09:06If she said, you're going through my personal stuff.
09:08I would do whatever the hell I would-
09:09Everything in here is mine.
09:09That's exactly right.
09:10It would never have gotten to the walking out of the room.
09:13I'd have walked out of the room.
09:14Or my mom would have been like, oh yeah?
09:16Get out of my house.
09:17Yeah.
09:17That's exactly right.
09:19She would have pulled my card then.
09:21And the other old school moms would have took the door off the pages.
09:25Oh, so my mom would have been like, I don't see no receipts for none of this.
09:29Which ones did you pay for?
09:31My parents did that with my sister.
09:32What, took the door off?
09:33Took the door off.
09:34Yep.
09:34Yep.
09:35Like, this is my house.
09:36But anyway, all right, let's get to it real quick.
09:38So, I was listening to the Texas game on 95.7 The Fan.
09:43Nice and crystal clear.
09:45All the way to Hearn.
09:47Yep.
09:47Yep.
09:47Yep.
09:48I'm definitely overdoing it.
09:50So, here's Mark last night on a radio call.
09:53And, like I said, I think he's a good dad and all that stuff.
09:56But he had a moment where I felt like he was a little disappointed with Graham Mertz.
10:01With that play we've been talking about.
10:03Okay.
10:04Pretty much all day.
10:06Here's what he had to say about the situation.
10:09They call timeout with two seconds to go.
10:12Mertz's slow to get up.
10:13That's the last thing you want to see.
10:15Didn't look good when he went down.
10:18And now he's going to get looked at by the athletic trainers for the Houston Texans.
10:21And guess what?
10:22There's no other quarterback other than Davis Mills available tonight.
10:26He's got to be careful, Dre.
10:27Look, this is the preseason.
10:29You know he wants to make plays.
10:30But he's coming down head first, which is a big no-no.
10:33So, it's August, not January.
10:37Try selling a third-string quarterback on that.
10:40Thank you, Andre.
10:42Advance up the depth chart or get other teams to notice you.
10:47You know, that's easier said than done.
10:50I understand.
10:51When you turn on the compete button, that's tough.
10:54See, Andre knows ball.
10:55I don't think I've ever been.
10:56I don't think I've ever been to a place where I'd disagree with Andre.
10:59Mind you, noted Heisman winner on Dre wear.
11:04And I'm here like, disagree.
11:06I think you're wrong.
11:07Yeah, but Mark was lying.
11:09It's August, not January.
11:11The only one we got left is Davis Mills.
11:13It's August, not January.
11:15Can you give me just that little clip one more time?
11:17Because I honestly didn't think that this was mad dad.
11:20I thought this was like kind of disappointed dad.
11:23You know what I mean?
11:24Like you're making decisions that are not good ones.
11:26Like I didn't think it was like a, hey, why are you yelling at me?
11:29It was like, hey, let's make good decisions.
11:30I feel like it was a Danny Tanner, man.
11:32Yeah, I think so.
11:33He's got to be careful, Dre.
11:35Look, this is the preseason.
11:36You know he wants to make plays, but he's coming down head first,
11:39which is a big no-no.
11:42It's August, not January.
11:44There you go.
11:45Yeah, it's like a, look, I know you're trying to.
11:47Come on, Michelle.
11:47Look, I know you didn't mean to do anything wrong,
11:49but you can't take the markers and run on the wall.
11:52That's right.
11:52You can't.
11:53That's right.
11:55Yeah, I guess I really want to hear Martin Vandermeer mad at his kid.
11:59I do too.
12:00Yeah, you think he's going to use the radio voice?
12:03We're like, go in that room and rock and roll.
12:10What?
12:11There is a flag on the plate, young man.
12:14Now you take a timeout.
12:16That's right.
12:17You think if you use all the football terms?
12:21Go to the laundry room and get me a fresh four.
12:26That was not a good play by you, sir.
12:28Now you're benched for the rest of the game.
12:32This is so bad.
12:33These towels are bad.
12:35I need a fresh four.
12:37Go hit the showers now.
12:39Hit the showers is probably one I could see him use.
12:41I could see him using that completely earnestly.
12:45I didn't say fresh four, Lopez.
12:51Hey, salute to Martin Vandermeer, man.
12:53It was good hearing him on 95.7.
12:55Good seeing him at the party.
12:56Yeah, man.
12:57Yeah, man.
12:58It was good.
12:58And I'm glad football season is officially back.
13:01That's right.
13:02That's right.
13:02And we are ready to rock.
13:04That's also true right here on 95.7.
13:08where you don't have to change your dial at all in order to hear Texans games.
13:14They're right here for you on Houston Sports Leader.
13:16He is.
13:17He is.
13:17Who's he going to be more mad at?
13:19Me.
13:19You think so?
13:19Always me.
13:20I did call him corny dad rather than cool dad.
13:24So he might be mad at me as well.
13:25He's probably like, man, they get all these 100,000 watts.
13:29And this is how they use them.
13:30Now I'll hear start burying at me.
13:31Day two.
13:31And this is how they use them.
13:33Y'all wasn't doing this crap on the AM station.
13:35That's right.
13:36Which is technically correct, which is the best kind of correct.
13:39Always a great edition of the mixtape right here in the loop on 95.7 The Fan.
13:45If you see something mixtape worthy, hit our guy up on social media at TheFiggyFig.
