00:00in three two one okay so hello everyone welcome to INS and uh i want to start off by asking
00:08all
00:08all four of you uh your journey on the show ended quite early uh as all of you might have
00:13expected
00:14uh like how do how does this come across to you what's your mind space like and like what
00:20all is going on inside and anyone can take the lead and start Karan sir i am obviously sad
00:26and i think it's my uh i would have loved to stay on more because it's the first this kind
00:31of show
00:32that i'm doing and i would have loved to be on for a really long time but i did what
00:37i had to uh my job
00:39was to figure out what people are feeling uh how they are thinking who the traitors are i did that
00:44before anything else happened and they killed me that had to happen so it's absolutely fine i think
00:49i did what i had to i i i did what i came to do so it's fine i had
00:54i had so much fun and i can't
00:56wait to see where the show goes after this and harman yeah i really enjoyed it because
01:02crunch time in a small time i got a lot of things to experience life as an innocent till the
01:09first
01:09circle of shock then it was picked on as a traitor so the time is too small but it always
01:15happens
01:16how much impact has your story you have contributed to all this endeavor the show should be entertaining
01:23for the audience to watch it should be fun for you to uh witness all the action and
01:28this is a better format because we have discussed globally so successful this show
01:34is why this is because the format is very hard in two groups when you grow up you know it's
01:38a constant
01:39battle which will win the winner traitors or innocent i just felt i wish i had more time
01:46but
01:47I'm happy to be with you
01:51same question
01:52if you have a true potential
01:56for your time
01:57was enough or
01:59you could have done much?
02:00I have a lot of potential
02:03I have so much
02:03I have seen a lot of potential
02:04I have seen a lot
02:07so I have left me
02:12I have left me
02:12I have left me
02:15it's unfair
02:16I think that it's very disheartening
02:20to be eliminated at an early stage
02:22of the show but the format
02:24is as such that
02:26your destiny is not in your hands
02:29and the format is like that
02:31so at least that takes
02:32a little bit of the baggage
02:34of not blaming yourself
02:35that you have not done so much
02:38for this show
02:39I think I did my best
02:41and
02:43good things
02:44and I think I got eliminated
02:47in an early stage and I got the chance
02:49to focus more on my business
02:51which maybe will make me
02:53much more maybe fame
02:55more money than maybe one more episode
02:58or three episodes
02:58but
02:59full grateful for being part of the show
03:02and then going through this experience
03:05but of course this hard thing
03:07to tell
03:09okay
03:10and Harman coming to you
03:11now Ranvijay has a very strong sense of reality television
03:16like I mean we have seen him all over these years
03:1920-25 years in the business
03:20do you think he would have done something differently
03:22or anything that you sought from him
03:25Ranvijay
03:26Ranvijay would have had the exact same problem
03:28which with Munawar
03:30opening batsman when he comes to 30 ball
03:32and the century
03:33so all the ballers
03:35and all the fielders
03:36and all the fielders
03:37that is
03:37that is
03:38Ranvijay in fact
03:40had a chat
03:41about the same thing
03:43with the maker of the show
03:45and they agreed
03:45that
03:46the first
03:47will be targeted
03:49regardless
03:49that they are innocent
03:50traitors
03:51but I wish
03:52I have learned something else
03:53to my brother
03:53because these things
03:55are very good
03:56in the reality show
03:58and it is very established
03:59for me
04:00this was the first experience
04:01so
04:01I want to say
04:05that Harman will also agree
04:06that
04:07if you want to learn
04:08whatever strategy
04:08whatever
04:09you want to learn
04:10whatever
04:10you want to learn
04:11that
04:12this show is not
04:13the same thing
04:14as you see
04:15it is a very complete
04:17improv show
04:18in any situation
04:19in any situation
04:20any other thing
04:20will come to you
04:21that you don't know
04:22there is no manual to it
04:24to handle it
04:24yeah
04:25true
04:26yeah
04:28and
04:29let's add this a little bit
04:30because I was talking about reality tv
04:31about it
04:33I want all four of your opinion
04:34do you think people
04:36or artists
04:36who come from a very strong
04:38reality tv background
04:39they have a certain disadvantage
04:40when it comes to shows
04:41like traitors
04:42or something else
04:44it's all open to all four of you
04:45anybody who has a big reputation
04:47for their work
04:48anybody who has a big reputation
04:50for being very good at
04:51their work
04:52like
04:53here
04:54all the people involved here
04:56Munawar's reputation
04:57comes from the camera
04:59yeah
04:59so in this show
05:00there is a threat perception
05:02they also know
05:03I think
05:03before the show
05:04it can happen
05:07I think of course
05:08if you have
05:09if you have a bigger name
05:10outside
05:11or you have belong
05:12to a reality show
05:13people gonna feel
05:14that you are a threat
05:15to them
05:16but that's actually
05:17applies to any
05:18interesting personality
05:20the moment
05:21you are intimidating
05:23others
05:23or the moment
05:24others get intimidated
05:25but you
05:26by your own aura
05:27or just your own existence
05:29it's automatically
05:30a threat to them
05:31so it's not like
05:32you have to
05:34have had done a show
05:35before
05:35if you just open your mouth
05:37and people are like
05:38oh my god
05:38like she's intimidating me
05:40or you feel insecure
05:41in their presence
05:42you are automatically
05:44a threat
05:47and my next question
05:48is for Karan
05:48Karan as the world
05:50becomes more closer
05:51with technology
05:52with social media
05:52you know people have access
05:54to all the artists
05:55on their phones now
05:56like
05:57artists are literally
05:58in people's pockets
05:58with their phones
05:59do you think
06:00the space of reality TV
06:01or reality programming
06:02is becoming increasingly
06:03more difficult
06:04because of the access
06:05to the artists
06:06no I think
06:07it's going to become
06:08even better
06:09I think with AI
06:10coming in
06:11with so much fake
06:12things going on
06:13everywhere
06:13you don't know
06:14what to trust
06:15when you see something online
06:16I think the idea
06:18of reality is that
06:19it is so real
06:20and you know
06:21it's not AI
06:21you know it's not Photoshop
06:22you know it's not fake
06:23what you're seeing
06:24is what you're getting
06:25so I think it's only going
06:27to become bigger
06:27and you've seen it
06:28become bigger over the last
06:29couple of years
06:30and I think the
06:33it's just going to get bigger
06:34and bigger
06:34till it reaches for the stars
06:35and I don't think
06:37artists have anything
06:38to worry about
06:38when it comes to reality
06:41and Munabhar I want to speak about
06:43the space of reality shows
06:45first of all
06:45because
06:46as you said
06:47you know
06:49it's more of improv based show
06:50you know you don't know
06:51what's coming on to you
06:52in the next moment
06:53now it's said that
06:54100% honesty is also not
06:56advisable in the world
06:58because it may lead to chaos
07:03you have to portray that side of your personality
07:05which may not be your true self
07:07you have to portray that side of your personality
07:08this dichotomy is to portray
07:10which is not your true self
07:11and the reality show
07:12working in a reality show
07:13how do you see that
07:14this dichotomy
07:29I don't really think
07:29there's a way to look at it
07:30manipulate your
07:31that you are trying to
07:36you
07:38minor tweaks
07:39minor tweaks
07:39In the way
07:40you see what
07:40you are doing
07:41in real life
07:41you don't keep in real life
07:43you have to look at your
07:45or your
07:45inside you
07:46the other side of your
07:47that you are giving up
07:49in this way
07:50you need to
07:51take temporary
07:52but
07:53this is not a solution
07:54this is your life
07:54and your personality
07:56and your approach
07:56you are living
08:22And my next question is for Harman and Sandhus, you know, we have seen that, you know, reality
08:27TV has become a major avenue or a career path for celebrities today, you know, celebrities
08:31from across spaces, they are trying to, they are moving towards the space of reality TV.
08:39Do you think that this is more because of the actual experience that they are going after,
08:44or is it the visibility that they want to cultivate?
08:49Yeah, reality shows have never gone out of fashion, Big Boss, like there's so many shows
08:55that we watch. The thing is, I think the lines of what defines an artist have changed.
08:59Now it's not like that if you are performing on stage, you can't come to the TV,
09:05if you are in OTT, you can't come to the film, all the barriers are broken.
09:09First, we have to categorize it. You are TV actor, you are film actor, you are OTT actor,
09:14you are stand-up comedian, you are YouTuber, you are a model. All of those categories are different.
09:19Now it's like that when your time comes, if you capture momentum in your life, you can be a part
09:25of
09:26all kinds of storytelling. You can also see Monavar, Karan, Sandus, Mirko. You can also see
09:33in the film. Now the barriers are broken, which is like the audience is becoming much more aware. I think
09:39Indian audience is the smartest audience in the whole world. Why do you say that? Because our
09:45mythology is so complicated, it's so fantastical, it's so beautiful, you can take it from any
09:52religion, all of them. They are very complicated stories. They come from our childhood stories
09:59in our mind. In the world, there is not so much depth in India. So we always respect the audience.
10:04So you have high-quality, intense, beautifully detailed, layered things that you make, like
10:11traitors. They look at it and enjoy it. They eat one thing. They always remember that Monavar
10:18came in one episode. But that's the whole show. That's the impact.
10:25I think that when I came to India, people, like a lot of people used to like,
10:32try to be part of my journey, and all of them give me advice that you don't want to do
10:36a reality show.
10:38Because you will not get movies, you will not get this. You don't want to do item songs because
10:43nobody will look at you respectfully. Times has changed in a very weird and a very funny way.
10:49That right now, you will see a content creator or like a stand-up comedian who is like a public
10:54face
10:55digitally, let's say, who will actually charge much more than an actor who's been working in the
11:02Bollywood industry since so many years. And those actors who were saying that they don't do a reality show
11:25show are actually a full part-time performance and a part of the entertainment industry. When you go
11:31on a reality, even when you make drama, like
11:37that's called a performance. And you need to be an icon to pull out that performance in a reality show.
11:47So people should respect reality shows equally as other movies.
11:53And Karan, I want to know that how did this experience enrich the artist in you,
11:58being on Raiders, you know, dealing with people from across the state of society,
12:04people from different aspects of life under one roof?
12:07That's a great question, Akshay. I think for me as a performer and an artist, I think for me, my
12:13thing is I always want to try new things, even though my time is spent on stage performing for people,
12:18reading minds and doing all of that. I think I want to try different things. So I've done stand-up
12:24comedy
12:25in a friend show. I have been on India's Got Latent. I have done all of these things. And this
12:31is something,
12:31again, I was pushing myself to try something new. It's way out of my comfort zone.
12:35But I had so much fun, met incredible people. Some people obviously I knew from before,
12:40some I met for the first time, made great connections. I think everybody has some very
12:45unique qualities to them. And just it reinforced my belief that I always have a belief that people
12:50will try to say, everybody says that I'm unique and I'm not like everybody else. But if everybody
12:55says that they're unique, isn't that what makes them completely like everyone else? And that's exactly
13:00what happened in the show. They're phenomenal people, but there are a few things which are very similar
13:04about everyone. So I had an immense fun just noticing that from people about different walks
13:08of life as well.
13:09So you're so modest, don't tell them, or you've got to pick up your crystal.
13:13Seven seconds.
13:15Seven seconds.
13:18And I'll just extend this a bit.
13:22Because you're so many people in a show, you know, different minds, different
13:27layers of human psychology. Somewhere, sometime, does it feel that, you know,
13:31you're swimming in the sea of unknown completely off the shore?
13:35Yeah, I know.
13:36I know.
13:37The unknown thing is, that if I show, if I'm on stage, and I mind treat,
13:40I'll figure out a password or a name, someone thinks that they'll figure out,
13:44or someone thinks that they'll figure out. That's instantly. I get instant gratification.
13:46Because I tell you, you're thinking about the fact that they're talking about
13:48and they're talking about it. And then they're talking about it. And then they're talking about it.
13:50So I know that it's instant feedback.
13:52I think I'm like a crystal traitor. But there's no way to figure out
13:56that I'm not.
13:57Because that's not a talent.
14:00I think the artist's inside is so confused that I've done it.
14:04That's what I've done.
14:05That's what I've done.
14:06That's what I've done.
14:08That's what I've done.
14:11That's what I've done.
14:12That's what I've done.
14:12So that is definitely something that was an interesting space to be in.
14:18And Munavar, my next question is for you.
14:21You've won two shows.
14:22Do you consider yourself naturally competitive?
14:25Or you have become more strategic over the period of time?
14:28No, no, no.
14:29Strategic.
14:30Of course, I live with a lot of strategies in life.
14:33I live with a lot of strategies in shows.
14:35But if you look at me,
14:37I don't have any strategy in reality shows.
14:40I've played well in talking about it.
14:43Wherever there's a strategy,
14:45there's a challenge, a task,
14:48there's something I do.
14:49But I don't do Manipulate Logo for their benefit.
14:52I do Manipulate Logo for their benefit.
14:55I'm the agent.
14:57If I get 80% of my benefit,
14:59then you'll get 20 bucks.
15:01I don't have any difference in your money.
15:04I never...
15:05I don't have a lot of money.
15:07So that's one thing.
15:08So that's the two reality shows.
15:10When I come here,
15:11there's no strategy for this.
15:14If you play a game,
15:15if you play a game,
15:16then I'll play a game.
15:16I'll notice it.
15:18And if you're a traitor,
15:19then I won't be able to save it.
15:20That's the only thing.
15:21And in both of them,
15:23the situation that came to me,
15:25there's no treatment of that situation.
15:30And Harman, taking this forward,
15:32he used this word Manipulation.
15:34Now for you personally,
15:35Manipulation, is it a skill
15:37or is it necessary for the situation?
15:41First of all, Akshay,
15:42I want to compliment you.
15:43You have asked some of the nicest questions.
15:46You're doing this in the morning
15:47and you've given us a little bit.
15:51You're asking really good.
15:53You're beautifully crafted also.
15:56Manipulation is a skill,
15:58but if you have it in real life,
16:01like if you're deceitful in real life,
16:03when you're talking about something,
16:06you can convince yourself,
16:07you're doing this in real life,
16:09100%.
16:09But it's very difficult,
16:12because when I was a traitor,
16:13I felt like that the spotlight
16:16is so much on you.
16:18Even though,
16:19people are not seeing you as well,
16:21but you're doing this in real life,
16:23you're doing this in real life,
16:24you're doing this in real life,
16:25and you're doing this in real life.
16:26So, it is very crazy,
16:28and to manipulate someone,
16:30it was never easy in my life.
16:33I find it easier,
16:34when there's a script,
16:35and preparation,
16:36and performance,
16:37and the reality show,
16:43you cannot be cool,
16:45you cannot have all the answers,
16:47you cannot have a strategy,
16:48you have to go with the flow,
16:49because the game evolves,
16:50and goes very fast.
16:52Traitors are very cool,
16:53so that's why it's so fast,
16:56everything every day,
16:56people are going,
16:57so you don't understand what's going on.
17:01And my last question is for Sundus.
17:03As an artist,
17:04attention is something that,
17:06I mean, every artist craves for it,
17:07you know, that's their currency.
17:09But when the whole nation,
17:11so many people's attention,
17:12why do you have to do it personally?
17:15Does attention forge your artistry,
17:17or does it crumble you under pressure?
17:22I think if your ambition,
17:24and your drive to work in the film industry,
17:27because at least that's what I'm doing,
17:28comes from attention,
17:30or comes from money,
17:31then you will not survive in this industry,
17:33because I think your mental state,
17:35and your mental health,
17:36will not be able to go further,
17:38and push yourself,
17:39if you are only dependent on validation,
17:42and dependent on the attention.
17:45Let's say, assume Traitor is such a big show,
17:48but because of the show format,
17:50I got eliminated,
17:51which was not in my hand,
17:53in the second season.
17:54If I was actually mentally,
17:58depending only on attention,
17:59you would have find me right now,
18:01crying and being so disheartened,
18:03and be like,
18:03I would have gone,
18:05giving Gali to everyone,
18:06on my social media.
18:08But my drive to keep pushing,
18:11and creating a name for the industry,
18:13comes from my love for the crafts,
18:14and the love for the acting,
18:16and the love of just pushing,
18:19and creating that discipline,
18:21in my journey,
