04:02well anytime you can keep your era under three you're doing a lot of things right and you're
04:08putting your team in a position to win a lot of ball games as well and he's doing tremendous out
04:13there on the mound every time he gets the ball you expect him to go out there and dominate and
04:17that's what he's been to this point we'll see how he is today

04:36a swing and a soft liner fair ball takes the turn he's digging for second the throw in
04:44not in time that's a leadoff double hey whatever works right doesn't have to be impressive
04:50on the mound he's got to feel like he deserved a better result on that pitch really i mean just

13:51hitting coach in the league just a nice line drive in the center field

15:48I remember my rookie year overthrowing a cutoff man didn't last long before I was pulled aside by a veteran

24:36as we take a look at the numbers
24:41you know these A's showing great discipline at the plate
24:46and patience definitely seems to be the name of their game in this one
24:49they're doing a good job of working the pitch count
24:51and they've been able to push a couple of runs across to score as well
24:56here's a 1-1
24:58swing and a foul back
24:59that's out of play
25:08the 1-2
25:10on a line
25:11and that's got extra bases written all over it
25:17in safely with a leadoff double

28:38have to be more disciplined at the plate
28:40they've been chasing pitches outside the zone

28:43and it's led to some frustrating moments
28:45they've been fooled quite a bit today

28:51the throw is still in time
28:54so they get the first out of the inning

29:10and obviously a lot of credit for all those chases and strikeouts goes to the pitching

29:15but you can bet this offense is trying to figure out some way to put up a better fight

33:48so this is an important outing for him to get on the right track

34:20the one thing the pitcher didn't want to happen just happened
34:24that's not an easy one to stumble
34:27it's like he's playing wiffle ball up there
34:29that's typically not the easiest way to hit a home run
34:32the slight opposite field into the gap
34:35man making it look easy that's for sure
34:38at the plate now for the Rays is the DH

34:44and that drops in for a strike

34:51and we're at the top half of the 6th
34:55the A's bullpen has some movement

34:58the left-handed reliever appears to be getting loose

42:01got him looking that's a strikeout well that curveball had some pretty good break to it as
42:06you can see the hitter just locked up a little bit thought it was a great pitch to hit but
42:10sometimes you're looking for something else and you can't pull the trigger

42:26deal one right through there for a strike
42:38swing and a miss that one in the dirt on the first got him to gone after the strikeout we'll
42:44take a
42:44look at the three pitch sequence here pretty simple in terms of putting them away at the plate
42:49once you're ahead 0-2 as a pitcher you can really expand the zone and see how aggressive that hitter
42:54is going to be trying to protect and battle and right there clearly he was in swing mode but all
42:59you can do is hope to foul that off Kim in the box again takes a strike

43:13and that is that nothing doing for Tampa so no change in the score it's 3-3
