00:02We begin this morning with results from Tuesday's primaries, including a comeback win in Wisconsin
00:07and a runoff for Lindsey Graham's Senate seat in South Carolina.
00:11Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley has won the Democratic nomination for governor of Wisconsin,
00:17defeating Democratic Socialist Francesca Hong.
00:20It's a striking turnaround for Crowley, who dropped out of the race last month,
00:25then jumped back in after another leading Democrat dropped out.
00:28Governor Tony Evers then endorsed Crowley in the closing days of the race,
00:33helping Democrats coalesce around his candidacy.
00:36Hong had led in polling, and her loss cut short another test of how far the party's progressive win
00:42can extend its recent primary wins into a presidential battleground.
00:47Republican Congressman Tom Tiffany also won his party's nomination for governor,
00:51setting up a Crowley-Tiffany matchup in November.
00:54In South Carolina, Lindsey Graham's sister, Senator Darlene Graham,
00:59and Congressman Ralph Norman are headed to a runoff later this month
01:02in the special Republican primary for Graham's former Senate seat.
01:06Both talked overnight about the sudden short campaign and the two weeks still ahead.
01:11I have buried my precious brother, I have taken on the role of a United States senator,
01:18and I have had this brutal campaign schedule, and I'm still standing.
01:24If that doesn't tell you I'm a strong person and a fighter, nothing will.
01:30So I think I can handle the next two weeks.
01:33How unexpected this was to have Lindsey Graham not here.
01:38He just, he's a fixture, you thought he would be here.
01:41And that being said, it was, when you looked at the landscape,
01:46it was a short time frame to put together a campaign.
01:50And one more upset in Minnesota.
01:53Republican voters chose state House Speaker Lisa Demuth
01:56over Trump ally Mike Lindell for their party's nomination for governor.
02:00Demuth will face Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar in November.
