00:00The Prime Minister has been absolutely committed from the moment he came in to number 10
00:03to make sure that we limit this early release so it ensures the most dangerous offenders
00:08are not released back into the community before their sentences have finished.
00:11And he's already made some exemptions, for example those with accused of serious sexual offences and so on.
00:17But he's heard very clearly the concerns of the family and others around the country
00:21about the killers of PC Harper.
00:23So he was very clear yesterday that he's going to redouble his efforts,
00:27that he's increasingly confident that we can find a way and he's tasked the Justice Secretary
00:31with coming back for Parliament in September with a means at which we can ensure
00:34that they do not get released early from the end of their sentence.
