I always thought the transporter in Star Trek was just pure Hollywood magic. But while I was digging into some recent research, I realized we are actually doing it. Well, not with humans just yet, but by teleporting information using quantum entanglement. When I saw that China's Micius satellite successfully teleported a photon's state over 1200 kilometers away, my mind was blown. It got me thinking... if we eventually figure out how to bypass the Heisenberg uncertainty principle and scan every single one of your trillions of atoms, would the person materializing on the other side really be you, or just a flawless clone?
