00:05New year, new me, and I have decided to be proactive about my health this year.
00:10Namely because three years ago, my dad had a stroke.
00:14And even though it felt unexpected at the time, now we look back and realize that
00:19there were probably things going on in his body that he didn't know about or he simply wasn't listening to.
00:25Strokes also seem to run in my family. My father had one. My grandmother had one.
00:30Her mother had one. And though I know that strokes are not inherited, or details about our health that lead
00:36to strokes could absolutely be an inherited thing.
00:40Also, we all suffered of migraines, which is awful.
