00:09The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary and we can't
00:14believe it's been a decade since the Royal Wedding. Emily, you were there on the day,
00:18what was the atmosphere like? The atmosphere was electric, there was a real sense of celebration
00:24in the air, there was so much excitement and the streets were filling up from very early
00:28in the morning. I remember being on Whitehall at around 6.30, it was a little bit chilly but you
00:34know a very warm atmosphere all through the streets of London. And one of the big questions
00:39for the Royal Wedding was who will design Kate's dress? So what was your first impression as Kate
00:44stepped out of the car for the first time? When Kate stepped out of the car she looked like she
00:49was something straight out of a Disney fairy tale. The dress was classic, it was elegant and she just
00:55looked absolutely perfect in it and she must have been pretty nervous but it did not show.
01:00I was at university at the time and I remember being really excited to watch the Royal Wedding
01:06on television and just to see the moment that Kate stepped out in her dress and she just looked
01:12absolutely amazing. So what's one of your standout moments from the day?
01:17I think one of my key memories from the day was the deafening roar of the crowd as the couple
01:23came out as husband and wife for the first time, stepping through those doors of Westminster Abbey
01:28and the cheer that went up was really quite spine-tingling. We had the same impact a little bit
01:35later when they kissed on the balcony but what I really loved was them going for the little drive
01:39in Prince Charles' Aston Martin which really took people in the mouth by surprise.
01:44There were lots of details to talk about from the day but there were certain things that took place
01:50away from the cameras such as the couple's first dance. What is one of the moments that you would
01:55have loved to have seen?
01:57I think every journalist would have loved to have been a fly on the wall at the reception and especially
02:02in the evening at the point that all the public elements of their day were ended. They were able to
02:07fully relax, enjoy a bit of dancing with their loved ones. I think we'd all like to have seen members
02:12of the
02:12Royal Family hit in the dark school. Definitely. So how have we seen William and Kate's relationship
02:17evolve over the past 10 years? William and Kate were a real love match and they were together for quite
02:23some time before they got married as we know and they've gone from being a young couple very much in
02:28love and living a relatively private life to key figures in public life and now we see that partnership
02:34has really evolved to become a very strong duo and they support each other and complement each other in
02:41their duties when they're out on engagements. They clearly also have a really fulfilling family life
02:46at home with their three children. Ten years is quite the milestone so congratulations to the Duke
02:53in Dutchess of Cambridge.
