00:34Shannon Nelson was sadly confined to a wheelchair after an accident in her 20s
00:39but she has found the perfect, sorry, pal in Scooter who also needs a scooter to get around.
00:48Together they've become inseparable and Shannon's own words say,
00:52Me and Scooter are wheelchair warriors. He's the most loving cat I've ever known.
00:58I love him to death. He's definitely my best friend.

01:05Finally, I'm sticking with the furry friend theme.
01:09The Hainan Gibbon, a very rare ape, who have had their habitat ravaged by deforestation and poaching.
01:16Looks like they might be on the road to recovery.

01:20The ape now lives only in a patch of forest on China's Hainan Island.
01:24In the 1950s, there were an estimated 2,000 left in the world, but sadly numbers fell to fewer than
01:3110 in the 1970s.
01:34However, discovery of a new breeding pair raises hope for the survival of the world's rarest primate.
