The Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2026 runway show was not simply a fashion presentation. It was a cultural milestone, a homecoming decades in the making, and a historic night that firmly positioned Dominican talent at the center of global fashion. Held at the iconic Fortaleza Ozama, the show marked the brand’s 60th anniversary with intention and meaning.

00:00My career in reality is a career of many, many years.
00:05I started my career as a designer, not in the Dominican Republic,
00:08here where I was born, but in Spain.
00:11In Spain I worked first with the Casa Valenciaga
00:14and then I worked in Paris with the Casa Lanvin.
00:17In Spain I lived almost 10 years, 5 years in France
00:21and eventually I came to the United States where I established my own brand.
00:27I'm very happy to be able to go through these medios.
00:30There is something very nice that we have all the Latin Americans.
00:35You never heard a French say to a Italian
00:40I'm so proud of you that you are a European like me.
00:44However, among us, the Latin Americans,
00:47there is a friendship,
00:49that we have a certain sympathy, a certain unity,
00:55a certain affection and respect for the place where we are, where we come.
00:59Thank you very much.
