00:04Salma. Salma, hi. She called me last night. She got in and she goes like,
00:07Hi, Harvey. I just got in.
00:09Hi, mi perrito. Como estas?
00:11And I was just like, what?
00:13I was like, I remember watching, like, you know, award shows where she was attending,
00:18watching movies that she was attending.
00:19And, you know, growing up Latino and watching people on television,
00:21we didn't see ourselves represented a lot.
00:23And so someone like Salma has become an icon because she is a representative,
00:27you know, for the Latino community.
00:28And so not to be representing with her side by side,
00:31being in a film with her that's nominated, like, it's insane.
00:35It's absolutely insane.
00:36And this is a really big year for Latinos.
00:37Of course, we can always see more representation,
00:39but we really are kind of seeing it in the nominee list in the movies that we have right now.
00:43Yeah, absolutely.
00:43You know, you go down the list of the work that people have done,
00:46like Jenna Ortega, you know, and like, just like, you know, Guillermo del Toro.
00:49It's like, I just, the list goes on and on,
00:51but also it's just stepping stones in the right direction because we have a long way to go.
00:56And I really loved Puss in Boots, too.
00:58I watched it before interviewing Antonio.
01:00I mean, tell me a little bit about how that experience was for you.
01:04I mean, working with all these icons.
01:05When I got cast and they told me that I was going to join them as the third, you know,
01:09third friend, you know,
01:10just like it's Antonio and Salma who are iconic on themselves and have, you know,
01:13been part of this family of Shrek, you know, lineage for so long.
01:17And to be just a small part of that was such an honor.
01:19So I'm really excited that I was able to join them.
01:22I love it.

01:26We're going to see us move in the right direction and make up for a lot of lost time.
