00:01Oh, and I've got to pick a side! Convenience. Homecooked. Homecooked, definitely. Convenience.
00:09Homecooked. That everybody struggles at times.
00:13That it was going to be hard. Just to not stress the small things.
00:17That you can actually get ready in under four minutes, makeup included, when you've got
00:22a baby or a toddler hanging off your leg. You get very quick at getting ready. Guilty.
00:27Guilty mum. Guilty mum all the time. Guilty mum always.
00:32Oh, guilt every day. Nipple cream!
00:36Breast pump. A white noise contraption. It played like womb sounds and stuff.
00:42It fixed my first child, I swear. It was amazing.
00:45I still swear by swaddling. A really good swaddling blanket. Learn to swaddle well. Babies love to be swaddled.
00:52Gin. So last week my toddler pooed in our DVD cupboard. That was quite extreme.
00:58I took Buzz to nursery the other day. I saw Little Red Riding Hood.
01:01Then I saw something in Paw Patrol. Something. A little boy dressed as someone from Paw Patrol.
01:05And then I realised that nursery was celebrating World Book Day.
01:09Now we knew it was World Book Day, but we didn't know that nursery was celebrating it.
01:12So I felt awful. Then I got in the car and realised I had poo all up my sleeve.
01:16That was all before 9am.
01:19Oh, it's got to be when I had my son strapped into his buggy and I forgot to put the
01:23brake on and it rolled off a step.
01:25It was horrible.
01:27Sending my son in fancy dress to school on a uniform day.
01:32When I swear in the car and then my older kids go, Mummy, don't say that word.
01:38And they tell me off the swearing.
01:39The school nativity. Oh my God. Cutest thing ever.
01:44Oh, I feel proud every day. Literally. It's so hard to pick.
01:50Buzz has this smile when he's proud. It's like he's really trying to keep the smile in it. It's so
01:55amazing.
01:57When Buzz, oh, I think when Buzz first said back to us, I love you, you know. Not just I
02:05love you. I love you, you know. Just, oh, my heart.
02:09Oh, just my son recently got star of the week at school a couple of weeks ago and that was
02:14amazing.
02:15It's lovely to see him happy and doing well.
02:16Having my son and daughter at the events that I host and I get my son to talk to everybody
02:21and announce the event.
02:23I think whenever you go and watch like a school assembly or a play with your kids in, it's just
02:28like,
02:29well, they have to stand up and do like a bit of public speaking and assembly and they've got those
02:33three lines
02:34that they've been practicing at home. It makes you really proud.
02:38I don't seem to have kind of like a filter of what's appropriate to send to different people.
02:42So I did send an email to my accountant talking about the difficulties of wearing a jumpsuit
02:47because you have to get naked to go to the toilet. And it was only after I sent it that
02:50I thought,
02:50I'm not sure if this is an appropriate professional email to send, but yeah, they didn't mind.
02:55I regularly put too many kisses on people's emails, like builders or, you know, execs of builders,
03:01of companies that I just, they don't mean my kisses. They don't.
03:04I felt like replying and saying, I didn't mean the kisses, but then I think it makes it more awkward.
03:07So I just keep it in.
03:09I'm dreading, I'm not on the phone that much, but I'm dreading like putting the phone down one day and
03:13going, love you.
03:15It's going to happen at some point.
03:17Probably during book writing when I would be trying to write the book and sometimes I would have the laptop
03:22up on the kitchen counter to be doing some editing while trying to cook some tea
03:26and kind of placate the boys in the living room with some snack bribes of some description.
03:31So yeah, properly like an octopus trying to do everything.
03:35I think anything that involves breastfeeding a baby while running around after a toddler,
03:39I think that is multitasking to the max.
03:42I work for myself, so working from home with my children off when it's half term
03:45and just trying to write stuff and they're like hanging off your legs.
03:48Hoovering with my daughter on the back.
03:50Probably when I was writing my book and I had a baby in a sling and a baby, really tiny
03:57babies from the twins are little
03:59and a baby in the like bouncy chair and I was bouncing with one foot, baby in the sling and
04:04doing my edits.
04:06I thought I was pretty good multitasking.
04:08Outside.
04:10Picnics.
04:10And then they can run free and not, you know, charge into anybody else's tables.
04:16You can still buy nice food.
04:17You don't even buy nice food to go from restaurants but take it away with you.
04:21That's, yeah, that's what we do.
04:23A local place to us called Hardo which has amazing brunch at the weekends.
04:27We love brunch.
04:28Oh, it's Nando's actually because they do good garlic bread and the kids love that.
04:32Do you know at home, eating out as a family of six is not very relaxing.
04:36It's really expensive.
04:38My husband often says why do we bother because the kids never finish all their food and it's just a
04:43waste of food.
04:44So I don't think anything beats a roast on a Sunday at home with your family.
04:50How can you do some food for kids to even eat and eat and eat?
04:50How can you do some food for kids to eat and eat?
04:51How can you do some food for kids to eat and eat and eat?
