00:00There is no way that we're giving this guy this part.
00:02No way he's in my movie.
00:03Kevin didn't want Jim Gaffigan to be in the movie.
00:06He had a personal beef with Jim Gaffigan.
00:08I was auditioning for a lot of things in New York City,
00:10like you go in for commercials and stuff like that,
00:12and every time I went into the room, I was up against Jim Gaffigan.
00:14You do the audition, and you never know if you get it
00:16until you see the commercial on TV,
00:17and every time I would see the commercial on TV,
00:19Jim Gaffigan would have gotten the commercial.
00:21And so I was like, ah, screw that guy.
00:22So then he comes in, and he auditions for this movie,
00:25and I'm like, there is no way that we're giving this guy this part.
00:28And we all have veto power.
00:30You know, if you've got beef with somebody, you have veto power.
00:33But in this case, we vetoed the veto because his audition was so good.
00:37And on the day we were shooting this scene,
00:39Kevin wouldn't come over to the car.
00:40He sat at the other end of the highway at craft service,
00:42like depressed-eating Starbursts and things like that.
00:45And we'd walk over there and be like, you know, you should come join us.
00:47He's actually a really funny guy.
00:49He's a really cool guy.
00:50And Kevin didn't want to do that.
00:51Nah.
