00:14The people that we see day to day, they're focusing on survival.
00:18So their main priorities are food, shelter, safety essentially.
00:23So, you know, completing government forms isn't top of their priorities.
00:27But capturing the number of people sleeping rough is critical for allocating support services.
00:34And organisations like Pete's Place are helping those experiencing homelessness to fill out their census forms.
00:42The data that's collected from the census has a massive impact on the people that we directly assist every day.
00:47It will give them, like, an understanding of where we're lacking.
00:51The census should reflect all Australians and give a voice to the often voiceless.
00:56Homeless advocacy groups have been calling on the Australian Bureau of Statistics to do more.
