00:00Now let's bring you some breaking news. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he is rejecting US President Donald Trump's
00:07Board of Peace 15-point plan for Gaza and will not withdraw until Hamas fully disarms.
00:15Late last month, Trump announced that plan, but it was criticised by several people within Israel.
00:24Now the Gaza Board of Peace was actually established in January, but it was criticised almost immediately as being a
00:32replacement almost for the UN Security Council.
00:37It's been in intense negotiations now with Hamas. One of the things that it has said publicly is that Hamas
00:44needs to disarm.
00:46That's what they've been talking about. Hamas has said they are willing to disarm under the right conditions.
00:53So those conditions are being negotiated right now. The Gaza Board of Peace is headed by a very seasoned diplomat,
01:02Nikolai Madlinov.
01:03Nikolai Madlinov in charge of those negotiations. He has been in Egypt. He's been in Washington, D.C. and several
01:10other places.
01:11But the Gaza Board of Peace has had some success. They've already issued construction plans for Gaza City itself, but
01:23nothing's really moved on this.
01:26The negotiations have been tough between Israel and Hamas themselves. So this is a setback of sorts for the Gaza
01:36Board of Peace.
01:37Benjamin Netanyahu has always been very, very clear about his position. Hamas disarms completely.
01:45But, you know, Hamas also has its positions and says that it needs to look at who it will actually
01:53disarm to, how that process will be managed.
01:56Now, there is talk of an international stabilisation force for Gaza.
02:02How that's been going to be made up, which countries will be involved is still under discussion.
