00:00Mr. President, first I want to thank you for graciously hosting me once again in the White House.
00:08And second, I want to thank you for your friendship and for your leadership.
00:14From Jerusalem to Tehran, from the Golan Heights to Gaza,
00:21you've proven time and again what I've said many times.
00:25You are the greatest friend that Israel has ever had in the White House.
00:30And Mr. President, you and I both know it's not even close.
00:37While you focus at home on making America great again,
00:42your leadership abroad is changing the world for the better, ending wars and advancing peace.
00:51I believe that today we're taking a critical step towards both ending the war in Gaza
00:58and setting the stage for dramatically advancing peace in the Middle East
01:05and I think beyond the Middle East and very important Muslim countries.
01:10I support your plan to end the war in Gaza, which achieves our war aims.
01:18It will bring back to Israel all our hostages,
01:24dismantle Hamas' military capabilities, end its political rule,
01:29and ensure that Gaza never again poses a threat to Israel.
01:33We would not have achieved this turning point
01:39without the courage and sacrifice of our incredibly brave soldiers.
01:47They fight like lions to defend the people of Israel,
01:53and they serve on the front line in the war between civilization and barbarism.
02:00Mr. President,
02:03when our two countries stand shoulder to shoulder,
02:09we achieve the impossible.
02:12Just a few months ago,
02:15in Operation Rising Line
02:16and Operation Midnight Hammer,
02:19we struck a decisive blow
02:21against Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile program.
02:26Your bold decision to send those B-2s
02:30made the region safer
02:32and the world safer.
02:36Now, under your leadership,
02:38we're taking the next step
02:40to win the war
02:41and expand the peace.
02:45Your plan is consistent with the five principles
02:47my government set for the end of the war
02:50and the day after Hamas.
02:52Everybody asks,
02:54what is your plan for the day after Hamas?
02:56Here's our plan.
02:58Pass that in the cabinet.
03:00All our hostages,
03:02both those who are alive
03:03and those who died,
03:05all of them
03:06will return home immediately.
03:10Hamas will be disarmed.
03:13Gaza will be demilitarized.
03:16Israel will retain security responsibility,
03:19including a security perimeter
03:21for the foreseeable future.
03:24And lastly,
03:25Gaza will have
03:26a peaceful civilian administration
03:28that is run neither by Hamas
03:31nor by the Palestinian Authority.
03:34If Hamas agrees to your plan,
03:36Mr. President,
03:38the first step will be
03:39a modest withdrawal,
03:41followed by the release
03:42of all our hostages
03:43within 72 hours.
03:45The next step will be
03:46the establishment
03:47of an international body
03:49charged with fully disarming Hamas
03:51and demilitarizing Gaza.
03:54I appreciate your willingness
03:57to lead the body,
03:58Mr. President.
04:01I really appreciate it
04:02because you have a lot of things to do
04:03and this is important.
04:05And it reflects the confidence
04:08that this will give everyone,
04:10that things will be followed up
04:11on all the commitments made.
04:13The fact that you are taking this on,
04:15I think, helps a lot
04:16to make sure that everything flows
04:18in the direction that we want.
04:19Now, if this international body succeeds,
04:22we will have permanently
04:24ended the war.
04:26Israel will conduct
04:27further withdrawals
04:28linked to the extent
04:30of disarmament
04:31and demilitarization,
04:33but will remain
04:34in the security perimeter
04:36for the foreseeable future.
04:40I think we should understand
04:41that we're giving everybody
04:43a chance
04:45to have this done peacefully.
04:49Something that will achieve
04:50all our war objectives
04:51without any further bloodshed.
04:55But if Hamas rejects your plan,
04:57Mr. President,
04:59or if they
04:59supposedly accept it
05:02and then
05:02basically do everything
05:06to counter it,
05:08then Israel will finish
05:09the job
05:10by itself.
05:12This can be done
05:14the easy way
05:15or it can be done
05:17the hard way,
05:19but it will be done.
05:22We prefer
05:23the easy way,
05:24but it has to be done.
05:26All these goals
05:27must be achieved
05:28because we didn't fight
05:30this horrible fight,
05:32sacrifice
05:33the finest
05:34of our young men
05:35to have Hamas
05:36stay in Gaza
05:38and threaten us
05:39again and again
05:40and again
05:40with these horrific massacres.
05:44Mr. President,
05:45I was encouraged
05:46by your clear statement
05:49at the UN
05:49against the recognition
05:51of a Palestinian state.
05:52That would be an outcome
05:54that after October 7th
05:56would reward terrorists,
05:58undermine security,
06:00and endanger Israel's
06:01very existence.
06:04As for the Palestinian Authority,
06:07I appreciate your firm position
06:08that the PA
06:10could have no role
06:11whatsoever in Gaza
06:12without undergoing
06:14a radical
06:14and genuine transformation.
06:17In your 2020 peace plan,
06:19which you mentioned
06:20just now,
06:21you made clear
06:22what that transformation
06:24requires.
06:25It's not lip service.
06:27It's not checking a box.
06:29It's a fundamental,
06:32genuine,
06:32and enduring
06:33transformation.
06:35And that means
06:36ending pay to slay,
06:37changing
06:38the poisonous textbooks
06:39that teach hatred
06:40to Jews,
06:41to Palestinian children,
06:43stopping incitement
06:44in the media,
06:46ending lawfare
06:47against Israel
06:47at the ICC,
06:48the ICJ,
06:50recognizing the Jewish state,
06:52and many,
06:54many other reforms.
06:55It won't come as a surprise
06:58to you
06:59that the vast majority
07:00of Israelis
07:00have no faith
07:02that the PA Leopard
07:03will change its spots.
07:06But rather than wait
07:07for this miraculous transformation,
07:10your plan provides
07:11a practical
07:12and realistic path forward
07:13for Gaza
07:14in the coming years,
07:15in which Gaza
07:17will be administered
07:18neither by Hamas
07:19nor the Palestinian Authority,
07:21but by those
07:22committed
07:23to a genuine peace
07:25with Israel.
07:27I think this can be
07:28not only
07:29a new beginning
07:29for Gaza,
07:30I think it can be
07:32a new beginning
07:32for the entire region.
07:35Under your leadership,
07:36we can re-energize,
07:38I've got to contribute
07:40my own,
07:41we can re-energize
07:41the Abraham Accords.
07:43That's what it's called
07:44in the original Hebrew.
07:46Abraham.
07:47Abraham is fine.
07:48Abraham,
07:49however you want to call it.
07:50Under your leadership,
07:51Mr. President,
07:52we can re-energize
07:53the Abraham Accords
07:55that we forged
07:56five years ago.
07:58We can expand them
07:59to many more
08:00Arab and Muslim nations
08:02that choose moderation
08:04over extremism.
08:05I think there's
08:06an opportunity here.
08:08It's not going to be easy.
08:09It's tough going.
08:10But I think if we succeed,
08:11you're absolutely right.
08:12We're going to open
08:13possibilities
08:14that nobody even dreamed of.
08:17But I think we dream of them.
08:18As you've told me,
08:22Mr. President,
08:23and you've told the world
08:24many, many times,
08:26you said,
08:27remember October 7th.
08:29Remember October 7th.
08:32And we do.
08:33We will never forget
08:34the horrors of October 7th.
08:37And we will do
08:38whatever is necessary
08:40to make sure
08:41they don't happen again.
08:42Since October 7th,
08:45Israel's enemies
08:46have learned
08:47a hard truth.
08:49Those who attack us
08:50pay a heavy price.
08:53But those who partner with us
08:55advance progress
08:56and security
08:57for their peoples.
09:00President Trump
09:01just said it.
09:02It's also in the Bible.
09:03It says,
09:04those who will bless you
09:05will be blessed.
09:06And those who will curse you
09:07will be cursed.
09:08And that's actually
09:09what is happening.
09:10We want the blessings.
09:13I think we've done a lot
09:15in the past two years
09:16to end the curse.
09:18We're not finished,
09:19but we've done a lot.
09:20And we've done a lot together
09:22to end the curse.
09:23I want to thank
09:24your entire team
09:25for their efforts
09:26to get to this point.
09:28I especially want to thank
09:29Steve Witkoff
09:30and Jared Kushner
09:31for their indefatigable work
09:33to bring Israel
09:35and Arab states
09:36and the region
09:36closer together.
09:37I'm deeply grateful
09:39to both of them
09:40for their work.
09:41We had a phone call today
09:42just to make it clear.
09:45I said to the,
09:47sorry,
09:48the Prime Minister of Qatar,
09:50Israel was targeting terrorists.
09:52It wasn't targeting Qatar.
09:53And of course,
09:54we regretted the loss
09:55of the Qatari citizen.
09:58It wasn't our target.
10:00And I very much appreciate
10:02President Trump's proposal
10:03to have a trilateral body,
10:07the United States,
10:09Israel,
10:09and Qatar,
10:10to work out
10:11respective grievances.
10:12There are quite a few.
10:14But if we can try
10:15to mitigate them
10:16or put it
10:17on a different footing,
10:17I think that'll be good
10:18for everyone.
10:19Above all,
10:22all the people,
10:23the fine team,
10:24and many helpers
10:25who've done this,
10:26I want to thank you,
10:27Mr. President.
10:29History has already shown
10:31that under your leadership,
10:34Israel and America
10:35can change the face
10:36of the Middle East.
10:38And today,
10:38I'm hopeful
10:39that your plan
10:40to end the war in Gaza
10:41will do so again
10:43and do so soon.
10:45It will free our hostages,
10:47end Hamas' tyranny
10:48in Gaza
10:49and enable
10:50a more secure
10:51and prosperous future
10:52for the peoples
10:54of our region.
10:56Thank you,
10:57Mr. President.
10:58May God bless America.
11:01May God bless Israel.
11:03May God bless
11:04the indispensable
11:05alliance
11:06between our countries.
11:08And may I add,
11:09in Hebrew,
11:11the Malchati Matova,
11:13may we all be inscribed
11:15in the book of life.
11:19Thank you very much,
11:20Bibi.
11:25So I think
11:26while we wait
11:27for these documents
11:28to be signed
11:29and get everybody in line,
11:31I think it maybe
11:31is not really appropriate
11:33to take questions.
11:35I'm meeting with,
11:35as you know,
11:36a couple of Democrats
11:38in a little while
11:38about the country,
11:41about keeping
11:42our country open.
11:43They're going to have
11:46to do some things
11:47because their ideas
11:49are not very good ones.
11:50They're very bad
11:50for our country.
11:51So we'll see
11:52how that works out.
11:53But this is something
11:54that was really historic today.
11:56This was something
11:56that was amazing.
11:58I think, Bibi,
12:00I mean, depending on you,
12:01I think while we're waiting
12:03for signatures
12:04and waiting for approvals
12:07from a lot of different countries
12:08that are involved in this,
12:09we probably shouldn't
12:10take questions.
12:11or would you like
12:11to take a question or two
12:13from perhaps
12:13a friendly Israeli reporter
12:15if there's such a thing?
12:19That's a very,
12:21very tough proposition.
12:23But I would think,
12:24Mr. President,
12:25that I would go
12:25by your instinct
12:26that this is...
12:28We'll have enough time
12:29for questions.
12:30Let's settle the issue first,
12:31I think.
12:32Does the law have a story?
12:33No, no, no.
12:35Thank you very much.
