00:00Former DAP strongman Ronnie Liu has joined Julao MP Larry Seng's Parti Bangsa Malaysia

00:06more than three years after leaving DAP.

00:10Liu announced the move at a press conference today alongside Seng,

00:14who previously led PKR's Sarawak chapter.

00:19Liu was a DAP member for 41 years and served several terms on the party's Central Executive Committee.

00:26He represented Pandamaran from 2008 to 2013 when he also served on the Selangor Executive Council

00:35before becoming Sungai Pelek Assemblyman from 2018 to 2022.

00:41Liu quit DAP in June 2023 over dissatisfaction with the leadership's move

00:46to amend the party constitution on the termination of memberships.

00:50The amendment allowed DAP elected representatives to automatically lose their membership

00:57if they did not toe the party line on fundamental issues,

01:01which Liu contended was undemocratic.
