Watch as a pair of glowing lights in the darkness turn out to be something far more unexpected than approaching headlights.
The footage, filmed by Qin Ling in Xuchang, Henan, China, shows two intensely bright lights shining from a dark outdoor staircase, creating the illusion of a vehicle approaching through the night.
As the camera moves closer, the mysterious beams are revealed to be the reflective eyes of a cat quietly watching from the shadows. The feline remains perfectly still as its eyes continue to glow with an almost supernatural intensity against the pitch-black surroundings.
The striking optical illusion showcases the remarkable way a cat's eyes can reflect light, transforming an ordinary nighttime encounter into a startling sight.
