00:01Bersatu's Secretary-General Azmin Ali has rejected past President Abdul Hadi Awang's claim that Bersatu is no longer part of
00:08Perikatan Nasional.
00:10Azmin argued that Hadi was wrong to claim Bersatu automatically cease to be a PN member after announcing plans to
00:17form a new political coalition.
00:19The Bersatu's Secretary-General said no clause in the PN constitution provides for the automatic termination of a party's membership.
00:28He maintained that Bersatu's status in PN can only be decided by the coalition's presidential council under clause 7a and
00:36that no such meeting has been held.
00:38As such, Bersatu remains a legitimate member of PN.
00:42Azmin also said Hadi had no right or veto power to determine Bersatu's position, describing the past president's statement as
00:50reckless and lacking basic knowledge of the coalition's constitution.
00:54Bersatu will also lodge an official complaint with the Registrar of Societies after its representatives were barred from a PN
01:01Supreme Council meeting on seat allocations and cooperation with Barisan Nasional in Negeri Sembilan.
01:09Azmin added that the actions of PN Chairman Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar and Secretary-General Taki Yudin Hassan went against the
01:16coalition's constitution.
