00:35this in terms of what they've both been able to do both limited in different ways pennix has looked
00:39better till yesterday right and then two was able to go out there and actually fully participate in
00:44everything and looks like the back maybe isn't as a problem anymore and you know obviously has a leg
00:52up because he's not limited like pennix is uh but also looked like the you know the the first
01:00quarterback yesterday too yeah i think you know the one thing that i we were talking about yesterday
01:05towards the end of the show like they're viewing it between those two guys as a competition and maybe
01:11because we were still on the assumption because it was said from the coach's mouth the competition
01:16start to they're both able to do the same thing but maybe it's but when that was said i wondered
01:23they knew how long michael was going to be out yeah it's a good question you know and then if
01:26that's
01:26the case it's like okay we got to readjust what we're doing as far as what our eyes are seeing
01:30in this competition because of what mike can't do it and what he can't do until you know however long
01:36should be about three weeks now and so uh and to a set it kind of sort of like this
01:43is a competition
01:44right now and he has a leg up obviously because he gets to go out there and do the most
01:48important
01:48thing that's 11 on 11 all those stuff is important to go wrong but those those looks when it's full
01:53goal and all the teams and guys are coming as now he's not getting hit or anything like that
01:56had some nice throws yesterday had the one interception but yeah i mean he he's right now he
02:01is in a place where he has a leg up in my opinion to be the week one starter yeah

02:07and i we've we've felt like that ever since the first day pennix said i'm not cleared for four weeks

02:59you know a lot of the little various stuff that they're doing out there he's looked pretty good
03:03doing um but yeah i mean two is able to do all of it and looked good doing it yesterday

03:08as it stands now that's that's a leg up i also wonder too like if you know if they're really
03:13gonna play starters a little bit in games one and three pennix isn't going to be cleared for one no
03:19two is a starter right maybe he'll play in game one of the preseason who to if they're going to
03:25play starters they're playing starters yeah stefanski said they wanted to yeah he's got to go in
03:31so that's how you that's how you win it like if two goes in there and they have a drive
03:35and it
03:35looks good then you know what i mean right then that's the you know along with the um joint practices
03:42that they'll have with the colts obviously those are going to be you know those are going to be a
03:46big part of it too but you know if it's if it's about analyzing what they can do which is
03:53what we
03:53think it is and two can play in a preseason game and pennix can't that seems like a pretty good
03:58way to
03:59win the job especially if he looks good right yeah that's true i mean i guess if he plays like
04:03crap like damn and maybe yeah you know maybe pennix benefits from not playing i don't know
04:10yeah don't look bad please please don't yeah that that's the whole thing about it too is like
04:14competition you know is first of all you don't want a quarterback competition i think we all
04:19understand that you want to know who your quarterback is and feel good about it you don't
04:22want a quarterback competition but if you're going to have one um you know at least have a push each
04:27other yeah neither one of them's really been able to do anything yet so that's really hard to say
04:30yeah but that's why i said that's why i was when they were talking about the competition part you
04:34always compete don't get me wrong but when the way the way it was said was like okay yeah michael's
04:38only doing this but i'm still competing with him in something so that's what it seems like to me like
04:43it's it's still a competition in their eyes meaning because the way they're viewing it are they
04:49viewing it i'm talking about the coaches viewing it that way we're okay we're looking at what michael is
04:53doing he's doing it great we know what to all those different things but i mean we can't just
04:58automatically give to it this job because michael's looking good at what he's doing it would be wild
05:02to be able to win a competition it would be crazy without being able to fully engage in the competition
05:07that means that that means the other guy who can yep is not doing anything exactly which again i
05:13i think it didn't look like it put them both in as many situations as they possibly can be in
05:19before the season starts like if you know let them let them play a couple drives in the preseason
05:25game let all the starters go out there the third one right well he'll be cleared by then i think
05:30knock on wood knock on wood but he hasn't cleared for anything yet so i don't know i mean
