00:00The province of Alberta in Canada has decided by vote whether to hold a
00:03referendum on separation and independence. Alberta's premier has
00:06expressed opposition to Alberta's separation. Nevertheless, they decided to
00:10put the decision of whether to hold a referendum to a vote. On October 19th, an
00:14initial vote will decide whether to begin the referendum. If pro-separation
00:17wins, a second vote will ask about independence. The problem is that the
00:22Canadian government is very displeased. Even within the province, separatists and
00:26federalists are visibly in conflict.
