00:00Now as we enter the eighth day, we're almost into the eighth day of the blessed month of Ramadan.
00:06Today is Thursday, March 30th and the time now is 3 a.m. in Turkey and Syria.
00:17We went live urgently right now because we saw an important development regarding the earthquakes.
00:24Apparently an earthquake struck and honestly it's rare for one to hit this area.
00:30Yes, it's located on a very important fault line, but it happened.
00:34It's been a long time since an earthquake hit this area.
00:37In fact, it struck in a region in Saudi Arabia.
00:40To find out more about what happened and what's going on, don't go anywhere.
00:45I'll be back in a few seconds.
00:54Welcome back again.
00:55If this is your first time watching this channel or this program,
00:58so if you haven't subscribed to the channel yet, don't forget to subscribe,
01:03activate the notification bell, and of course like the video if you enjoyed it.
01:08Of course, we shouldn't forget that the Dutch scientist Franco Garbets
01:11had previously warned on the 28th and 29th and 30th of March due to the alignment of five planets.
01:17And of course, also the joining of the Moon in alignment with Mars.
01:21So he had warned about the 28th, 29th and 30th.
01:25And indeed, over the past two days, we saw more than one earthquake hit more than one country in the
01:31world,
01:31such as the Solomon Islands and Japan, with a magnitude greater than six on the Richter scale.
01:37But the development that happened today is real.
01:41And the earthquake that struck isn't dangerous, but in my opinion, it is an important indicator.
01:47An earthquake struck a short while ago in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
01:52specifically on the coasts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
01:55and specifically on the coasts of the Red Sea.
01:58The earthquake struck with a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter scale,
02:04specifically at 2.00 a.m. Turkey and Syria time.
02:15According to Syria time, the Red Sea Rift is one of the largest rifts in the region.
02:21That's why this earthquake matters.
02:23The earthquake, as I told you, struck with a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter scale.
02:272.00 in the morning, Turkey time and Syria time.
02:31So honestly, yeah, and also, sorry, 2.00 in the morning,
02:36it should be the same time as Saudi Arabia time.
02:40The quake was at a depth of only 13 kilometers,
02:42what you're seeing in front of you on the screen.
02:45This is the center of the quake, and the Red Sea Fault is clear.
02:49Sorry, I know this is the sea, excuse me, the Dead Sea Fault.
02:53The center of the quake is clear in the Red Sea,
02:55but this fault is called the Dead Sea Fault because it extends to the Dead Sea in Jordan.
03:01Of course, the depth was only 13 kilometers,
03:04and honestly, that's what makes me think that someone might have felt it.
03:09In the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
03:11The epicenter is only 60 kilometers away from the coast of the Tabuk region or Tabuk governorate,
03:18like the city of Al-Waj and the city of Umluj, which are close to the epicenter.
03:23And the coasts are located on the Red Sea and are very close to the earthquake's epicenter.
03:28I don't know if any of the viewers are in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia or know someone there.
03:33Could they have felt the tremor?
03:34Of course, the kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a very vast and very large country,
03:39so definitely a large number of people in Saudi Arabia.
03:43Whether Saudis or residents did not feel this tremor.
03:46Only the residents who are specifically near Tabuk province and also those who are very close to the cities of
03:54Al-Waj and Umluj.
03:56I expect those people felt the tremor.
03:58And as I told you, as you can see in front of you on the screen,
04:02the importance of the matter is not determined by the number of people who felt this tremor,
04:07but by the significance of this major fault and the sudden activity.
04:12Apparently, the Dead Sea Fault has become active and it is somehow connected definitely to the East Anatolian Fault.
04:20So is it possible that the energy from the East Anatolian Fault has transferred to the Dead Sea Fault and
04:28then to the Red Sea?
04:29Honestly, this is possible.
04:31And here lies the great danger of this tremor.
04:35By the way, the centre of the tremor is also about 150 kilometre away from Masa Alam in Egypt.
04:42It's unlikely that anyone in Masa Alam felt the tremor, but it's possible,
04:48especially since the tremor was shallow, only at a depth of 13 kilometres.
04:53It wasn't deep in the sea to reach the Egyptian coasts.
04:57I expect that those who felt it more strongly.
04:59They are the cities of Al-Waj and Umluj, or generally those in Tabuk province in the Kingdom of Saudi
05:06Arabia.
05:07Of course, this happened because the Red Sea Fault is known for being active,
05:11and according to scientists, this should be taken into consideration.
05:15This requires close monitoring of tremors or seismic events.
05:20The aftershock, especially in the coming days, we will definitely hear about it.
05:25Since the earthquake happened less than an hour ago, we will definitely hear more tomorrow.
05:31What can seismologists and geologists tell us about this topic?
05:35And should there be more in-depth studies or increased monitoring of this aftershock situation?
05:41But I'm telling you honestly, this tremor is really worth paying attention to,
05:45and we should monitor the aftershocks and keep an eye on the area in general.
05:50Is that really the case?
05:51As you said, did the energy transfer to the aftershock, and is that the problem here?
05:55Because also, if you look at the aftershocks of the East Anatolian Fault in Turkey,
06:00we saw more than one tremor today.
06:02Actually, not just today, but in the past 24 hours.
06:05Like I told you, that's where we are now.
06:08Now, Thursday, March 30th at around 2.30am on Thursday,
06:12and during the past 24 hours, or actually during the last 3 or 4 hours from now,
06:19we saw several strong earthquakes have struck again in the East Anatolian region
06:24and have hit several Turkish cities again.
06:27And in southern Turkey, like Goksun, they had the largest share of earthquakes today.
06:33I expect more than one person in Goksun and in southern Turkey.
06:37In general, today people felt more than one tremor,
06:41and also in this tremor there was a strong hit in Karamanmaras and a hit in Gazentep.
06:46The strength of the tremors ranged approximately between 3.8 and 4.5 on the Richter scale,
06:52and these tremors had a shallow depth, meaning the depth was also about 5 to 10 kilometers,
06:58so I expect a considerable number of people in southern Turkey felt this tremor.
07:02I don't know if these tremors reached my provinces, Latakia and Tartus on the Syrian coast,
07:08if they reached northern Syria, or if they reached Beirut, or even Damascus.
07:13As we said, we need to monitor very closely in the coming days, or even during the next 24 hours,
07:22which means we are actually entering March 30th,
07:25the date warned about by the Dutch scientist Frank Hoogerbeets.
07:29I hope you write your thoughts in the comments.
07:31If anyone specifically felt these tremors I mentioned in Turkey during the past 4 hours,
07:36and more importantly, if anyone sensed or felt the quake,
07:40the earthquake that struck in the Red Sea about 60 kilometers from the coast of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
07:47Of course, we wish safety for all of you.
07:49This is Ahmad al-Daram with you, and on behalf of the What's Happening show, stay safe.
