00:00Welcome to Tokyo International Airport.
00:02Listen, this isn't Radiator Springs.
00:05These Americans are clearly master spies.
00:09Cars 2 is really fun.
00:11It's very different than the original.
00:13In this story, Lightning McQueen, champion race car,
00:16is invited to this international race of champions
00:19called the World Grand Prix.
00:21Wish me luck. You go get him, buddy.
00:23Lightning McQueen, welcome to the World Grand Prix.
00:26In the first stop in Japan,
00:29Mader is in the wrong place at the wrong time.
00:31He's mistaken for an American spy.
00:34And he gets caught up in this huge conspiracy.
00:38They're everywhere, and they're all closing in on...
00:40Oh, no, Ben! Ben, where are you?
00:43Get him out of the pits, now!
00:45What was amazing about him and his co-director, Brad Lillis,
00:47and all of them, is that they brought all the storyboards.
00:50They brought me through the entire film.
00:51They have models there. They could barely contain their enthusiasm.
00:54And they're fantastic storytellers.
00:55And they love everything about the characters,
00:57there's nothing about what they're doing,
00:58all the obsessive detail of it.
01:00Well, naturally, I was a big fan of the first cars that came out.
01:04And I don't know.
01:07Disney got in touch with us through, I think it was through a friend.
01:11And my dad said, you know,
01:12we're gonna go down and have a meeting with Disney.
01:14They're potentially wanting you to be in the next movie.
01:16And I'm like, are you serious?
01:17Hey, McQueen! Over here!
01:19Lewis!
01:20Hey, man.
01:21Jeff!
01:21Hey, Lightning!
01:22Can you believe this party?
01:24Michael Caine is one of the greatest actors I've ever worked with.
01:28He is so cool.
01:29We're so excited because when we were developing the character of Finn McNissall,
01:33he was the first guy, the first and only guy we really thought of for this voice.
01:38Because he's just so cool.
01:39There's obviously so many people that are part of this huge, great team that they work with.
01:44And to think, you know, Michael Caine, growing up, he's a great British star.
01:51To think that I'm in a movie that he's in, it's very, very strange.
01:56It's not normal that I came from a small town called Stevenage.
02:00It's not normal that I'm in a Hollywood movie.
02:02So, and in every day, it's exactly the same feeling.
02:05Then they kiss him, but you're dead.
02:07Then this shouldn't hurt at all.
02:09Oh, my God!
02:13Bringing these characters life...
02:15I want to get the details right for all of the car guys out there in the world.
02:19You know, so, it's not just...
02:21Pixar films are not just for kids.
02:24They're for the adults as well.
02:26And the teenagers and stuff.
02:27We love smart storytelling.
02:30You know, we love to take these characters,
02:33and it keeps...
02:35Car Stooic keeps you on the edge of your seat.
02:47I think we bit off more than we could chew.
