00:00Iran does not seek to expand the war with the U.S., according to its president Masoud Paseshkian.
00:06But he vows the country will use all available means to defend its national security and interests.
00:12Iran's top military advisor has also warned that U.S. forces and vessels would face serious consequences
00:19if Washington continues its naval blockade of Iranian ports.
00:23Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump said talks with Iran were underway at the request of Saudi Arabia,
00:30the UAE, Qatar and other regional partners.
00:33He warns that the negotiations are Tehran's last chance to secure a deal to end the five-month conflict.
00:39Iran, however, has rejected those claims, insisting no direct talks with Washington are taking place, nor are any planned.
00:50Meanwhile, Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi movement said it has struck a target at Najran Airport in Saudi Arabia.
00:56The group said the attack was a response to alleged Saudi drone incursions over parts of northwestern Yemen.
01:03The latest escalation follows years of tensions over Saudi-led restrictions on Yemen's air and sea routes.
01:10Describing those restrictions as a siege, the Houthis had imposed a naval blockade in the Red Sea in retaliation.
