00:22Charrington said Keller did not report any discomfort during the game
00:26but informed the team after leaving the mound.
00:28An MRI on Monday confirmed the injury.
00:32Keller will not throw for six to eight weeks,
00:34with the club now focusing on getting him healthy for the offseason.
00:38The 30-year-old had shown signs of improvement in his previous two starts,
00:43allowing just two runs over 10 and one-third innings,
00:46but finished the season with a 6-8 record and a 5.29 ERA.
00:52Pirates manager Don Kelly described the injury as a major setback for both Keller and the team,
00:58especially with Pittsburgh still chasing a National League wildcard spot.
01:03Charrington added that Keller's injury influenced the Pirates' decision to acquire right-hander Lake Botcher
01:09from the Miami Marlins before the trade deadline.
