01:38Yeah, he's batting .243, seven homers, 26 RBIs.
01:44So the OPS is 682, which league average is 720.
01:48He's a free agent at the end of the year, so it's a rental, theoretically,
01:51or they can sign him to an extension.
01:53He is 30 years old, outfielder, former second-round pick.
01:58So I know I'm the wet blanket around here, but first blush,
02:02I don't like the move unless you sign him to an extension.
02:05But if this is strictly just a rental and you're only going to have Varshow
02:08for the rest of this season, I would rather have Errogetti
02:12and his potential upside for the future than an outfielder,
02:16a below-average outfielder this year.
02:18Varshow was good the last couple years.
02:20But right now, a guy who's been scuffling, you only have him for half the season
02:23for a team that's 58-55.
02:25I don't think this is the guy that puts them over the top where,
02:29okay, now they are the best team in the American League.
02:32So because of that, if you don't sign him to an extension,
02:34I would rather have Errogetti for a number of years than two months of Varshow.
02:38But we'll see what the next couple months bring.
02:41Yeah, I mean, it's going to be painful if Spencer Errogetti goes out there
02:44and he gets back on that same juice that he was 7-1 on early with Astros.
02:50That puts that chip back on his shoulder, if you will, and pitches well.
02:55But we'll see.

02:58This guy in particular, I mean, I know it's been a turnstile in center field
03:03and we've got several guys that have played out there.
03:07But over the options that we already had, I mean, is this just a big upgrade?

03:15I mean, it's got to be an upgrade because the Astros do have one of the worst outfields.
03:19I mean, Taylor Trammell's been streaky and he's been hitting better of late,
03:22but it's been such a bad offense for the Astros this year from the outfield.
03:28So just kind of by default, I think it's still an upgrade.
03:31And he has potential.
03:32So Varshow had a good couple last seasons in Toronto this year.
03:35The whole Blue Jays team has just been slumping after they made it to the World Series last year.
03:39So maybe you can unlock something in a guy that did hit 20 homers a year ago.
03:45But, yeah, it's an upgrade.
03:47But like I said, I don't think it's a big enough upgrade where it's like,
03:50ooh, look out.
03:51Here come the Astros.

03:53Oh, the rest of the American League better watch out.

04:57an outfielder in that really turned me on.
04:59I understand the need for it, but unless it's going to be a big name
05:03that you're going to have for multiple years, it's going to change this lineup.

05:07I mean, just keep playing the musical chairs for all I care.
05:10So, to answer your question, it doesn't move me much.

05:24You know, Ron threw out the lineup Friday before first game of this series.
05:33And my comment was, you know, I like the lineup.
05:36My only problem is Lamont Wade, Jr.
05:37I just don't know why he's in there.
05:40I don't know why it's him over some of the other guys, yada, yada, yada.
05:45And really, didn't have a real strong take, but definitely centered in on Lamont Wade.
05:50And then, oh, L. Wade, man, he went out there and he was one for three with an RBI
05:57in the first game where we won 11-2.
06:00And you may look at that and go, hell, we won 11-2.
06:02Well, he's the one that got the scoring started with a double that scored, oh, Taylor Trammell.
06:07And then he goes out there in game two, the contest, 5-4.
06:12He got the scoring started there with a single that scored Altuve.
06:16And I believe in Sunday's game, I believe he got a hit in that game, which also scored Altuve
06:24in the seventh when the Astros stretched that thing out to 7-3.
06:28So, I tell you what, if somebody needs a little boost in that lineup, Tyler, if somebody needs
06:32a little boost in that Astros lineup, just let me know and let me talk negatively about
06:37them on these airways, or at least show a little bit of doubt on these airways, they'll go out
06:42there and get you a hit.
06:42They're going to drive in some runs.
06:43Hell, they may get you three or four hits.
06:45That seems like something we've got to take advantage of, for sure.
