00:02We have today's Communion Sunday. Say Communion. Communion. Communion. Communion is when we
00:09come before the Lord in front of His table to partake. Now, I know this is the modern
00:15way of doing it, but we have the bread on this side. You don't like the wine. Well,
00:21it's not wine actually. It's grape juice. You like the bread. Well, that's very good
00:29then. Jesus is the bread of life, but He also has given us the, this is grape juice,
00:35of course, the blood of Jesus, yes. It is the symbol and substance of our salvation
00:43and our hope because Jesus gave up His body and His blood so that we, by believing
00:49in Him, could be in His kingdom. Now, we have a verse today, though, that I want
00:54to focus on. Thank you very much. It's a very, very, very, very easy,
00:59verse. Do you want it? I was blind, but now I see. Let's say it with Jacob all
01:07together. I was blind, but now I see. John 9, 25. Very good. You know, Jesus healed this
01:17blind man. This is the story that we're going to be going through. Your parents
01:21and grandparents will be learning today about the longer version of the story, but
01:25the short story is this. There was a blind man, and the blind man could not see from
01:30birth. Can you imagine not being able to see anything? You were born in that way. Can
01:34you imagine? You can imagine that. I guess if you just close your eyes the entire time,
01:41you could. But nonetheless, it was a very difficult life that this man had. And not only that,
01:47he was a beggar, meaning he was poor. He had nothing. He had no home. He would sit in the
01:52streets and beg for money, beg for mercy from evil. When Jesus one day decided he was going
01:58to heal him. And when he healed him, the blind beggar said, I was blind, but now I see. Does
02:05this sound like a song that we sing at church a lot of times? Kenzie, what's the name of that
02:09song that we sing a lot of times? Amazing Grace. Yes, indeed. John Newton, the writer of the
02:16hymn Amazing Grace, took the words from this very verse. You know the song? I know the song
02:25that we sing every day Sunday. Which song is that? When the children grow up. Yes. And we sing
02:33the song. And we sing the song, yes. But we're going to sing a different song here. This is a
02:37song that we all know and love. Let's all sing it together, congregation, with the kids and
02:42with just our voices by saying, Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound that saved the rich like
02:58I leave. I once was lost, but now I found. Was alive, but now I see. And that is a

03:23that we sing and saved in the verse. Let's pray together. Hold your hands, bow your heads,
03:28close your eyes, and say with me, Heavenly Father, Heavenly Father, thank you for sending
03:34Jesus, for sending Jesus, your Son, your Son, to heal the blind, to heal the sick, heal the
03:42heal many others, heal many others, but most of all, to give sight to the blind. Thank you. I was
