00:00The head of the Anti-Defamation League spoke out against former President Donald Trump's
00:04re-election campaign for comparing his latest indictment to persecution in Nazi Germany.
00:09The Trump campaign released a statement via email after the former president was indicted on Tuesday
00:14on four felony counts that accuse him of working to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential
00:20election. The statement said in part, quote, the lawlessness of these persecutions of President
00:25Trump and his supporters is reminiscent of Nazi Germany in the 1930s. The CEO of the Anti-Defamation
00:32League denounced the comparison, calling it, quote, factually incorrect, completely inappropriate
00:37and flat out offensive. He shared his thoughts on Twitter, going on to say, quote, as we have said
00:43time and time again, such comparisons have no place in politics and are shameful. The indictment marks
00:49the third set of criminal charges brought against Trump as he seeks to retake the White House in 2024.
00:54The Hill notes that the latest charges accused Trump of three conspiracies, conspiracy to defraud the
