00:01Palestinians mourned a family killed in Gaza on Sunday as an Israeli minister said there was no
00:06deal to halt attacks on the enclave. That's despite U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement
00:11just days ago of a breakthrough in efforts to implement last year's Gaza ceasefire agreement.
00:17The airstrike killed a pregnant woman, her husband and their seven-year-old son after hitting a
00:22residential building in Gaza City. At least one other child was among multiple people killed in
00:28attacks across the enclave, Palestinian health officials said. The Israeli military said the
00:34strikes were aimed at Hamas' military targets. It also said it was reviewing the situation in some
00:39of its operations. Speaking to Israel's army radio, Energy Minister Eli Cohen said he did not believe
00:46Hamas would disarm. Cohen is a member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's security cabinet.
00:52He also said he saw a need for Israel to take full control of Gaza. Israel already controls 70%
00:59of the strip. His comments come after Trump on Friday said Israel was very happy with an agreement
01:06for Hamas to completely disarm. Most people said that would be a deal that would be undoable now.
01:12He had announced the breakthrough the day before in a U.S.-backed initiative to implement the ceasefire
01:17deal reached last year. The President said the agreement would be carried out in phases. Israeli
01:23forces would withdraw as disarmament proceeds, while an international stabilization force working with
01:29a new Palestinian police force would secure the enclave. However, Hamas said Israel must end its
01:35military operations and withdraw forces first, in line with last year's deal. While an Israeli official
01:41told Reuters there would be no withdrawal from the military's current positions unless Hamas undergoes,
01:47genuine disarmament.
