00:10This is our way of giving back for people to come on the base for this community event.
00:16Every two years, the RAAF invites the public onto its Darwin base.
00:21It's part of Exercise Pitch Black, the country's largest aviation war games event,
00:26bringing together 21 nations and around 100 fighter jets.
00:31We love to see all the different aircrafts and all the different countries coming together
00:35and showing us all of their different things and how everything's differently built.
00:39With big planes come even bigger dreams.
00:42I was a small kid coming to these festivals and I got interested in the Air Force and flying.
00:49Community engagement events like this one are a prime opportunity for the Defence Force
00:53to recruit the next generation. And with 25,000 people through the gates,
00:58there's bound to be at least a few budding fighter jet pilots in the making.
