Transcript
00:00Here at the Kandanga Valley, Charolais and Charbury stud, their annual winter sale.
00:04All the signs are there for a reasonable result. Plenty of confidence in the commercial cattle
00:08market. Charolais bull sales last year in particular did well. The result here was
00:14sustained by a lot of interest from western and northern buyers.
00:30All told, the gross was up on last year. They sold about 10 more bulls, about 100 in total.
00:36The average was $8,252 through the ring. The Charolais were the top performers overall,
00:43averaging just shy of $10,000. But a honey-coloured Charbury sold for the top price through the ring
00:51of $26,000. He's going to breeders around the Taroum area.
01:00The Charolais.
