15:15stays alive

17:24happy with that result

18:23a really rough inning out there on the
18:24mound and this is one of those where you
18:26learn a lot about a guy's toughness and
18:29his ability now this one gets through
18:32Higashioka around third he'll score
18:34easily it's an RBI single and it's now a
18:37six-run lead puts a run on the board and
18:40picks up an RBI wasn't able to elevate
18:43that one but he sure hit it hard enough
18:44to get through the infield there's not a
18:46whole lot of time for the defenders to
18:48react and try to make a play when it's
18:50ripped like that
18:53line drive knocks it down
18:57gets it the first and they're happy to
18:59just get off the field after that for
19:01him so five runs in the inning as they
19:04bat around we head down welcome back as
19:08we take a check of the current standing
19:30this time so when you want to be aggressive go ahead and pitch to contact let the defense work behind
19:35you you've got a nice comfortable lead don't try to be too fine
19:41popped in the air left field Ozuna takes it in for the out one down up next for the Rays

19:57right through there for a strike
20:20comes up empty as he chases that one in the dirt gets to it on to first and
20:25there's two gone following the strikeout he's really good hitting the baseball the other way so credit the pitcher for
20:31having him out in front of that pitch
20:32clearly he had him full
20:34up next two down bases empty and now junior Caminero he's all for one I can't play around with him
20:43here it's a six run lead at this point got to attack hitters even if you give up a solo
20:48shot
20:50swing swing and a high fly ball left field Ozuna under it and the inning is over
20:59so they make short work of them there on to inning number four
21:03it's the ring
21:05now pitching for the new arm out of the bullpen called Sulcer
21:08and he's had a struggle so far this year as you can see the inflated ERA
21:13looking to bring that down a little bit right here
21:18that one ran inside almost got him
21:26fall low
21:29here's a 2-0
21:36on the ground right side and foul ball
21:44in the left center for a base hit
21:48around first and hustling for second
21:52and he's into second with nobody out
21:54two hits for him in this one
21:56both for extra bases got to feel good about that as a hitter there's not a whole
22:29lot better of a feeling
22:30and save he's in the third of the wild pitch
22:34even with a good secondary lead sometimes
22:36it's hard to see just how far that ball's gotten away from the catcher and if you
22:40could make it to third base pretty much standing up well at that time he seemed to
22:45have a pretty good read gets the third safely and now he's just 90 feet away from
22:50scoring
22:52in the air left field
22:55and he makes the catch
22:57runner tagging from third
22:59play at home he's safe
23:01it's seven to nothing
23:03good pitch he just kind of had him out in front on that pitch away and wasn't able to stay

23:53every day during batting practice these outfielders get about 10 minutes of
23:57balls in the gaps they practice this and when the game comes they make the play perfectly

24:09makes the turn at second heads for third
24:12the relay throw the relay throw coming home and he's out cut down and that ends the
24:18inning a run on two hits and they leave one on now to the bottom of the fourth it's the
24:24rangers
24:25welcome back to the ballpark as we check out the current playoff picture
24:41well these rays just lacking discipline at the plate in this ball game they're chasing
24:46a lot of pitches outside the zone and those chases that are turning into a bunch of outs
24:50can they turn that around and stay within the zone we'll see but i think they have to
24:54in the air to left center and a quick out number one and obviously a lot of credit for all
25:01those
25:01chases and strikeouts goes to the pitching it's been nasty but you can bet this offense is trying to
25:06figure out some way to put up a better fight

25:21up next for the rain two outs space is empty ryan valade now at the plate single to right in
25:28his first trip
25:31that's the ball
25:42and that one is lifted in the air duran on the move to the alley pulls it down and he

25:55back now in tampa bay they put themselves out in front with a nice display at the plate take a

26:01the spray chart for where their hits have landed yeah when a team has this many knocks a lot of

26:06time it gets clustered to one side or another not today they're hitting it all over the field well
26:12these rangers digging into their numbers have to be happy with the swings they're taking everything
26:17seems to be clicking and the six extra base hits in the game kind of tells you everything you need

26:22know they're not getting fooled up there at all that one fouled off

26:47yeah and eight extra base hits is a big number and it's pretty clear the offense is just feeding
26:52off each other at this point confidence is contagious liner stage at first dives for the bag got him

27:16and look out that one gets him the second man he's plunked in this one his teammates are not happy
27:23they're barking from the third base dugout after seeing that pitch and now both teams are being warned
27:29well they're just sticking up for their teammate right here and didn't like the way that that one
27:34looked but with the warning to both sides every pitcher in this game is going to have to be careful
27:39working inside the rest of the way

27:49and that gets the inside corner for a strike now he's challenging the called strike and that one just
27:56barely missed the call is overturned so they've still got both their challenges

28:30well these rays as this game goes on have to be more disciplined at the plate they've been chasing

31:54leads to the strikeout
