00:00Carvana caught my eye today, guys. This stock is down 8%, and it is down 21% year-to-date.
00:07So this is the online used car retailer. Full-year earnings may fall short of expectations.
00:14Rapid growth at this company is beginning to slow, and also they said their per-car profit slipped
00:19in the most recent quarter, gross profit per unit declining, an indication that these earnings from
00:26the growing business becoming harder and harder to come by. It's also seeing a lot more competition.
00:31It's been working to maintain its pace of expansion without sacrificing margins. So I guess the
00:36question for investors is whether Carvana's earnings are going to continue to justify a
00:40valuation that really far exceeds other auto retailers. I'll tell you, put up a long-term
00:45chart of this stock. It is incredibly volatile, man. This thing is all over the place. Now it's
00:51getting a little bit of a headwind right now. Yeah. I want to move on to Chipotle. Actually,
00:57and it's not just Chipotle. I'm going to lump Starbucks in here too, because both of them out
01:01with earnings after the bell yesterday, they both raised their guidance. Both had stronger than
01:05expected profits and sales in the previous quarter, boosted by new menu items at both places,
01:11and they revamped their loyalty programs, which we find more and more people are caring about.
01:16So the results show analysts say that diners are still willing to spend if the prices and the
01:21flavors are right, if they feel like there is value there. So Chipotle's gains are broad-based
01:26across all ages and income levels, they said, but particularly paying off with younger diners.
01:32Chipotle's CEO highlighted a lime sauce and a Chipotle honey chicken, as well as promotions tied to
01:39the FIFA World Cup as really being beneficial to results last quarter. I'm all in, Chipotle. Next.
01:45All right. Crocs. You can wear your Crocs into Chipotle. Not going to happen. All right. They
01:51are tanking. It's just the shares are tanking 13% today. That is not funny. The ticker symbol here,
01:57CROX. But here's the thing. The stock was up 56% or is up 56% year to date. Because
02:04look at these
02:05numbers. Crocs said, soft outlook for earnings this quarter, overshadowing the company,
02:09posting solid results and raising its annual forecast.
