00:00If you want us to answer your questions, you can leave comments on YouTube, as usual, or we have a
00:06new feature, Dylan.
00:07Our producer, Ernest, has set up a fan hotline where you can sound off.
00:13It's like radio call-in, but for voicemail.
00:17You can leave a comment there.
00:19I'm going to say the number here.
00:21I'm sure it'll be in the episode notes somewhere, but it's 213-454-0589.
00:28And whoever gets the first one in, we will read it.
00:31So when you watch this call, let us know what you think.
00:35Were you ever a sports talk radio call-in guy?
00:39I was not a call-in guy because I was too young.
00:42I probably listened to the most sports talk when I was in middle school.
00:46So back then, the funny thing is that the only sports talk station in L.A. was based in San
00:52Diego.
00:56And the late-night shows, I used to listen to the Kings.
00:59It was really weird because I didn't have cable growing up.
01:01I never actually saw hockey.
01:04But I would listen to the games from Gretzky.
01:06It was kind of like a thing when I was in elementary school, middle school.
01:10And they would always say, like, icing.
01:11And I would have no idea.
01:12I was trying to picture this in my head, but I had no idea what it was.
01:16Icing, there's ice everywhere.
01:18But you know who would come on after the Kings games late at night was Jim Rowe.
01:25He would have, like, the midnight shift, whatever.
01:28So I would go to bed listening to that.
01:30The coach, John Quintero, on Friday nights had a high school show,
01:35doing the high school sports, whatever.
01:37So, you know, whenever the coach asked me to go on his,
01:40I think right now he's doing, like, a YouTube show whenever he asked me to go on.
01:43And I very happily go on because I feel like it's, you know,
01:48I would have thought that was really cool when I was.
01:50You're paying back.
01:51Yeah.
01:52No, I never did that either.
01:53I was a, so I was a big Arizona Coyotes fan.
01:57I grew up playing hockey in Arizona.
01:59So, like, the Coyotes were, like, my team.
02:03And I would get into some, like, message board arguments with people as a teenager.
02:09And I will say, actually, like, Kings fans were the worst ones.
02:13Like, I did, I disliked the Kings, that team, a lot in growing up.
02:18And then I ended up covering them for a couple years
02:20and ended up really enjoying covering those people and interacting with Kings fans.
02:25So I've always kind of felt bad for some of the, yeah, the message board stuff.
02:30But, yeah.
02:31All right.
02:31Go ahead.
02:32Call us, leave a number, or leave a message, and, yeah, we'll have another new way to interact
02:40with our audience, which we love to do.
