00:22and actions that seem to be coordinated between the U.S. State Department and the presidential campaign of Flavio Bolsonaro,
00:29such as his repeating Trump-style disinformation about Brazil's electoral system to a group of foreign ambassadors last week, many
00:36analysts are wondering how far the United States will go to meddle in Brazil's elections this year.
00:45It is suspected that a Venezuelan electronic voting machine company called Smartmatic has a program that was used to change
00:51the voting results in an election in the U.S.
00:54I won't go into any more detail on this, except to state that many of the electronic voting machines used
00:59in Brazilian elections were built by the same Venezuelan company.
01:07Flavio Bolsonaro's recent lie that Smartmatic voting machines will be used in this year's elections brings back bad memories of
01:14his father's 2022 press conference on the same subject and the way the narrative was used to attempt a military
01:21coup.
01:22To add to the concern, days after Flavio's speech, the Trump administration tried to send inspectors to Brazil to examine
01:28its electronic voting machines.
01:30Flavio Bolsonaro has already started casting doubt on the integrity of Brazil's election system through a process of disinformation by
01:41claiming that the Brazilian electoral system is connected to a Venezuelan software system, which is absolutely false.
01:48So when the Trump administration tried to send observers to investigate the system, which they were unable to do because
01:54Brazil's foreign ministry refused to issue them visas, they were essentially trying to validate a false narrative spread by the
02:00far right.
02:03The U.S. has a long history of meddling in Brazilian governments, which attempt to exert sovereignty over their natural
02:09resources.
02:10The difference between 2026 and events such as the coups of 1964 and 2016 was that in those years, support
02:19for regime change through Operation Brother Sam and Operation Car Wash was covert and only came to public light years
02:25later.
02:26This year, the Trump administration is publicly announcing its intentions.
02:30It's a country where the GDP is growing, where inflation is decreasing and where workers' wages are rising, we are
02:43going to keep moving forwards without the interference of any other country.

02:55care of itself.
