00:00As I mentioned earlier, Rick and I have some news to share with you.
00:05I'm going to keep it together.
00:06Come on.
00:07I know.
00:08I said I keep it together.
00:10And you will.
00:11I will.
00:11We have been working together on Five Live Breakfast for five years now.
00:16And I have been co-presenting this show for over 15 years.
00:21And I've said it before.
00:22I'll probably say it again quite a lot over the next few months.
00:25But it is the best job in the world.
00:28And I have loved, I think, almost every single minute of it.
00:33But we have both been thinking a lot in recent months about what comes next.
00:38And I guess how we meet shifting priorities in our lives.
00:42And we have decided it is time for us to step down from this show and move on to new
00:49things.
00:50Now, first thing to say, this isn't happening straight away.
00:53We just wanted to give you a heads up now about changes which will be happening at the end of
00:58the year.
01:00And it is a decision we sort of came to both on our own separately, but together as well.
01:05So, for me, first of all, it is not, you may be surprised to hear, that I'm fed up with
01:10Rick or bored of his anecdotes.
01:12What?
01:12I know.
01:13Amazingly, you've actually grown on me like a friendly fungus.
01:17I would even say you've improved my brain microbiome in some way.
01:20So, it's not that.
01:22But for me, it really is just about realising that it is time to do something new.
01:29Because 15 years is a long time.
01:32And I think I need to poke myself out of my comfort zone and just challenge myself in a different
01:38way.
01:38Which, by the way, will still be at Five Live.
01:40I'm never leaving this place.
01:42Never.
01:42You know.
01:43You know.
01:43You know.
