00:00Now, this is a very upsetting story. This young man right here, he was truly a hero, but he just
00:06got unalived with a pew-pew Saturday night in Louisville's Shawnee neighborhood.
00:14And the saddest part about this boy is just a few months ago, he stood up for a 12-year
00:20-old girl after a man said some terribly inappropriate things to her, as you can see.
00:29Um, and he was actually given a, like, recognition award because he said that nobody, none of the grown men
00:43were going to do anything.
00:45So he stepped up to protect this girl, this 12-year-old girl. He said someone had to do something,
00:53and he was a 15-year-old boy.
00:54And, um, he, they said he demonstrated extraordinary courage, compassion, and selflessness, valor beyond his years.
01:05And now he has been taken from this world after already having to deal with that incident, which left him
01:15stabbed.
01:16And then, now he's been shot.
01:23You know, black kids deserve to live.
01:28But this was absolutely horrible.
01:31And it's just like he says, Dijon will always be remembered as a hero and a loving son.
01:36This young man was a hero, and what happened to him is horrible.
01:41This, this kind of stuff, and just think about what I just read to you guys.
01:48He was literally the only one that would stand up to a grown man who was harassing a child, a
01:5712-year-old girl,
02:00when no one else would do so.
02:05Why do we always lose the good ones so young?
